buds:
Haha same here. I think got seasons. exams seasons = kids are priority, non exams seasons = husband get priority It quite hard to say who come first.
Janet_lee88.... define \"attention seeking\"... :evil:janet_lee88:
Recently I find my hubby attention seeking...post PSLE syndrome :rotflmao:
Since exams are over, spouse gets attention. -
RE: Is Divorce really makes a marriage ends?
But there are cases whereby after a few years later, the couple put down their difference and come together again for their children who are still young. they realize that they still love each other and decided to start all over again.

RE: To ban or not to ban calculators in Primary School?
Hmm. I think using calculators make nowadays kids very dependent on it and sometimes even simple sum they also use calculators. Not like our days when we can only use in Secondary school and uni. lol.

RE: Will passionate teachers be gone?
verykiasumummy:
I agree. Sometimes the teachers just dont care, because its just a job to them and its not their own kids.Funz:
If they are truly that passionate, they will not be so easily defeated. For their motivation will not be parents' opinion but the impact that they can have on their students.
i do understand some parents are really ______.
*u can fill in the blank yourself, keke...
just hope that more passionate teachers could join the force.. -
RE: Comparing Enrichment Programme versus Private Tutor
jacktutor:
Home tuition vs tuition centre, what do you think? I have a student whose parent pulled her out from the tuition centre, because she just wasn't making any progress. Does this happen to anyone out there?
Yes. But I dont condemn all tuition centres. Sometimes maybe its just not the right one for my kids. So i put them into another one. hoping that they will learn n improve. -
RE: Horror Stories - Tutor Recommendation Agencies
verykiasumummy:
I used to hire tutors a few years back. I thought 50% is the norm for the agency to collect?toyomit:
It's really a shame. I have also tried to apply as an English teacher through the agency and the agency was asking half price from my per hour rate. I'd rather look for students myseld that to get employed by them.
it's not a shame, it's the norm... head hunter agencies r doing the same way too... just that parents will not pay extra to the agency, so they get from tutor instead. -
RE: Where do the kids go after sch?
cowgraz:
