Omg!! Tomorrow is the CHS S1 Orientation Camp!!! Hahah. Feeling damn scared right now 😓

Just enjoy yourself. It's for bonding and cameraderie. Also, this is in sch, very safe. Shouldn't have too much outdoor activities besides collecting recycled things.
You went for camps in Pr sch? if you do, you'll be expert lah!

DS1 went for P5 camp at Dairy farm, did outdoor activities like flying fox, Abseilling etc
Also, DS1 at P3 went for chinese orchestra camp to practice for SYF, practise till midnight, next day wake up early to practice again.

This S1 camp should be relax.

I didn't go for any camps during my primary sch days. Anyway, everyone was incredibly irritating and noisy I even went to the toilet to run away from all the noise made. Even at 12am, everyone in the classroom keep talking even after lights-out. In the end this patrolling teacher called Mr Chew walked in and scolded all of us. Then after that, everyone went quiet and slept. Then this morning at 5:30am, I was awoken by a loud shout. Sometimes I even wonder if my class has ADHD. In the end I only slept for 5.5hrs 😓

Haiyo. Guess all my classmates are noisy, irritating and inconsiderate -_- Tsk Tsk. Made me jump up early in the morning. Fags. 😂
I slept for 2 hours or so during my Sec 1 camp 2 years ago.

Everyone talked till like 1am or so, and some went to sleep. Then a few people woke up at 4.30 and started to talk nonsense 😂

It's only the beginning of your Cat High journey, and it'll be fun.

Yep, as a student, I can safely say CHS has one of the most dedicated, experienced and prepared teachers in the non-IP scene, if not in Singapore.

The teachers go all out to assure you get an A in your Os. Morning remedials, recess remedials (for the weaker ones), after school remedials, weekend extra classes etc.

I'm from a Performance Arts CCA myself, and I have been through last year's SYF. CCA was very tough indeed, usual trainings for us on normal days are twice a week, but as a performance/competition comes closer, we have trainings during weekends, school holidays, even in the morning..

      What CCA are you in?

      English Drama.
They have to select their CCA preferences by Thursday, is it??

      Yes, Thursday is the deadline.

Anybody knows if the sports CCA curriculum goes all year through or it take a breather after the inter school games? All the sports CCA look heavy going.

Performing Arts too seem v time consuming, anybody here has any idea if there wld b 3 practice sessions a wk thru out the yr, or only if there is a performance/competition?
I'm from a Performance Arts CCA myself, and I have been through last year's SYF. A month or two before SYF, we had morning trainings (7am) every Mon, Wed and Fri, and we would join the other Performance Arts CCA for another assembly. Sometimes we also have full-day sessions, so we have to skip lessons.

Tough training, We had 5 Gold W/ Honours last year, 1 Gold and 1 Silver.

Yeah, it's 9.2! Wonder any top 0-level girls school make the grade?

O-levels still dominated by girls one reason being distinction grade for english is still coming frm MGS and SCGS, >90% vs national average of 20.2-20.4% approx.

The consolidation is that CHS is still ahead of VS and SJI.
Congrats to all the CHS boys who hv done well! I m feeling more & more assured tt DS had made the right choice of sch.

llbros545: Waiting to hear yr gd news on CL result ^_^. I rmbr u mentioned in an earlier post tt u r in NCC (Air)? My ds's form tr is Mrs Valerie Chua, how is she?
She's a chemistry teacher right? As far as I know and heard, she's quite a nice teacher.

      (Current student in CHS now)

    • RE: Still feel sleepy despite sufficient sleep?

Not sure about that. I know apple has more starch, so it’ll be converted to glucose and be used as energy.

My ‘sleepiness’ isn’t an everyday thing. I discovered a pattern, though not very consistent. How tired I am the next day depends on what I do the night before.

If I decide to cram a lot of notes the day before, I tend to be very sleepy the next day.

    • Still feel sleepy despite sufficient sleep?

I’m in Sec 2 this year, and I usually have the luxury of sleeping for around 8 hours (1030 - 630), unlike my classmates. However, I appear to be much sleepier than those who have 5-7 hours of sleep. I don’t wake up in the middle of the night much.

      Can someone help me? Thanks!

Thank you! My mother doesn’t have an account, (even though I constantly pester her to). She just reads the stuff happening.
