How do we estimate my child T score from school Prelim? If this is guessing game how do we know what we know which secondary he can go? We may b unrealistic and aiming for out of reach school. This a real dilemma for me. Any tips

was told by my colleague with 2 children who had been through psle stage that the following formula is quite reliable (it will be somewhere along the marks +/- 5marks) :-
(Total prelim scores * 0.75) + 16

But still not all primary schools set difficult papers for prelim.
I am still waiting for my son's PSLE results to assess whether his formula is reliable or not...

I would like to check with you is Higher Chinese the default mother tongue in RVHS? Can the child opt for Chinese instead?

Also, in RVHS, can the child opt to go for ‘O’ levels too?

the minimum cut-off for commonwealth is 237 in 2010, anyone has in past experience tried going commonwealth basing on appeal at a lower score? I am staying near commonwealth secondary and my son is taking psle this year. hope he gets at least 240 so, sure to go in.
