Agree. For me, my brothers and I will share all costs (equally) pertaining to our parents' expenses (travelling, medical etc). Even though, I have stopped working, I still feel I have to contribute and my DH is also supportive of such gesture.

I also cant do without my coffee. Any kind, from instant coffee to kopitiam kopi, to gourmet coffee (Starbuck, TCC, Coffee bean, Gloria) etc.


Will feel very uneasy if I dun have a cuppa. In fact I crave for diff type of coffee depending on my mood

Today, I brought DS (2.5 yrs old) to have his dental checkup with pedaetric dentist in KKH . DS has numerous cavaties and slight gum infection. The doctor recommend to fix it under GA and charges is estimated $3000!!!!!!?????


Any mums -
1. know how I should go about to get subsided charged in KKH?
2. has similar experience? What are your charges like?

Hi, I had two experiences at NDC.

First time, it was my DS3. He had 8 fillings and 2 extractions under GA when he was ard 3. As he was already in presch. My first check up was at Sch Dental Center at Health Promotion Board. As his case could not be handled there, it was referred to NDC. Hence his case was partially subsidised, think the bill was ard $1k.

Second time, my DS4, ard 20mths, his front teeth were decaying and as a result the gum was infected. Dentist blamed it on my TBF/demand feeding routine. Anyway, instead of waiting for him to be older, we decided to go to the same dr as private patient. Bill came up to abt $1.6k for 4 extractions and 4 fillings.
