jedamum:i think some parents have the misconception that primary school teachers will really teach A for Apple like our time. Yes... we are of the same era. I remember only learning ABC when I was in P1. I struggled as I am hearing english for the 1st time....BTW, they used to teach multiplication very much later on as well but kids nowadays are required to know by P2.But I do agree that some parents think that they should not \"deprive\" their kids of childhood and do not want to \"stress\" them. They fail to understand that by not preparing the child for primary school, they are stressing the child not now but later. In fact, it's going to be more stressful and I hate to say, will affect the child's self-esteem and confidence on his/ her ability as they need to go to \"special\" classes and are \"isolated\" from rest of their friends. They will think they are not good enough.

VVJJ:Morning vi,Like i mentioned, these signs should disappear when kids enter into P1. Hence, there's really no concern about this at the current moment since your kid is still young. Just keep monitoring them and correct them whenever they made the alphabet flipping mistakes.. Mine is cos she's still showing these signs depsite being in P3 alreadi that i had to bring her for dyslexic assessment...Thanks VVJJ. I haven't still spoken to her teacher but will this week. Let me see what she has to say. Maybe I'll moniter for for a few months and if this continues, I'll have her tested.How are the reactions to your daughter in school? Thanks Chief!It's good to be the first. My twins are fraternal - a girl and a boy. We are looking at Beacon Primary. Yes as twins we get 1 chance for both but I am hoping that we dont need to ballot. I hope to complete my 40 hours by June next year and finish registrations in 2B...
