You know what I like about 天下?in a K2 class, 1 teacher will take care of 10 children. But in Berries, there is 1 main teacher and 1 asst teacher to about 16 children (correct me if I’m wrong). So it means 1 Berries teacher is teaching 16 children as compared to 1 天下teacher teaching 10 children.
Assistant teacher is to put for a better teacher student ratio. But in actual fact, 1 teacher to 10 children is better in 天下 than 1 teacher to 16 children in Berries.
Parents, know what you are paying for. Having lesser students in a class allows the teacher to spend more time to focus on each individual child for Oral Component like K2 Picture description in 天下 Oral for Preparatory P1 class.
the other time I checked with berries Hougang branch they told me it’s still 2:12 for K1-K2.
but i still enroll my child in TH
My son attended Berries K2 last year. It was 2 teachers to 12 students. -

My son's class also not more than 12. Occasionally up to 3 teachers. Might be teacher-on-training. Berries K2 is teaching HYPY every bi-weekly now started from this term 2.

Why Berries did not start teaching HYPY in Term 1? Tien Hsia has started in Term 1 and it is done weekly.

Berries allocates one lesson every 2 wks just to teach hypy.

Hi stjt,quirkymum:
How big is TS's class size?
1:8 for nursery
1:10 for.K1-2
How did you come to decide to enrol your child in TS instead of Berries? I have exactly the same dilemma between Berries Hougang and TS Kovan. TS Kovan is nearer my home but when DS attended it when he was 6 (did not speak a word of Mandarin in his school) there was no improvement even after many months so we took him out. Now it's my DD's turn. But I think DD's interest in the language is higher. I emailed Berries but they are full, so DD is on waiting list. I am thinking if I should try out TS again. -

Apparently the whole HYPY programme only takes 6 months (once per week) to complete. So long the centre able to complete it by K2 year, it doesn't matter start in which term?

also wondering why Berries start HYPY so late ? :?
Jiang lao shi also start HYPY early, in K2 Term 1.
Every week has HYPY.
