Hi Goldpiggy, my gal is in the after school care at SMPS, now P2. The experience has been good, especially the P1 teachers there are very caring and patient (Mdm Fu and Mrs Siew). Girls will finish their homework, learn tingxie and spelling there. They will also do assessment if there is not much homework. The girls take short nap at the aircon office if the wish (bring own sleeping bag). They will be given lunch and tea break. If you are a working mum, student care is a good option, you can spend quality time with your girl when you get home.

Thanks so much SP MumThis is indeed very reassuring. Will most probably go for it provided my girl gets in to SMPS. Now starting to worry about not being able to get in cos we are at 2B and we live in the North-East
Totally agree with you about having quality and family time after work/school.
Thanks so much Bowie and SP Mum -
Hi mummies
I read about the student care service. But what’s this YMCA?
Do you mean the student care run by YMCA but is located at smps?
Im more than 2km away and yearly there’s balloting. Is ther anyone who can share how’s the balloting like for last year?
Very anxious. Distance is an issue to me too but the other good sch near my place is very popular and probability to get in is quite low. -
Oh btw. Today my girl k2 went to smps for her p1 familiarization and had a buddy fr patience. : )

Btw how much is the YMCA ?
Also what’s the time duration?
Sch bus will fetch them home or parents will fetch them home? -

The boys in her sch will go to St. Andrews for their p1 familiarization
Like attending a lesson in class and importantly how to buy food at the canteen. -

Hi St Marg’s mummies and daddies,
Does anyone know if the school bus service runs from Tampines to St Marg’s? Wondering what the morning boarding time will be like?
Not sure how its like now but is there an emphasis on the arts, dance and music at St Margaret’s in this current time and day if you have your girls there? Do most St Margaret girls move on to St Margaret’s Secondary?
We are contemplating between PLMGS and St Margaret’s and appreciate any honest pieces of advice.
Cheers,
