Fairy, I was referring to the principal pinning the badge on every boy, perhaps that was many years ago.

Is the cohort size really 455 ? I spoke to a very authoritative person who told me it was 450 ! Perhaps after some very hard appealing by some parents, there are 5 blessed ones given the opportunity to bust the cohort size ?
The cohort size will increase every year. This year, my son class has one more Singaporean student. He has spent 8 years in Jakarta and just came back Singapore last year. In Year 3, there will be a batch of oversea scholars joining them. In year 5, there will be some 'O' level students joining them.
Enjoy the ceremony. Year by year, they will give different themes. The students are quite innovative.
How's the CCA trails? Sports is always the main attraction. My son told me the boys are very euthiasutic. -
CCA trails you mean? I think no chance for mine to run. Cross country taking in only 6 while Track n field less than 10. Haiz…Not sure how he’s gonna list 9 choices.

what i meant was that I was told the 2010 Sec 1 cohort size is 450. where the extra 5 come from ? (not that i am complaining ... they - the 5 extra, are very fortunate)The cohort size will increase every year. This year, my son class has one more Singaporean student. Go for the profiling. He might have more choices. He might be an expert in Judo or something else. My son has never played Water Polo. Now he is quite good at it. -

455 was the figure mentioned by HOD PE/CCA today. When we checked the class list, there were 454 names listed.

Yes, you are right. The GEP starts from 1I. So GEPers with some high scorer are in I, J, K, L, M, P & Q - woh...7 classes, that's really alot. 7 out of 15 classes. Some TNS Geppers are in I, J, P and Q. Cohort size 455. No taupok incidents. So glad about that! But he's so exhausted now after his 2 night camp. Said he slept less than 10 hours. From his sharing, I could tell that the kids had a fantastic camp and excellent bonding activties, though they're starved of sleep and the fright night was too much for some youngsters. :yikes:
Highlight of the whole week, or perhaps their whole ri journey is prob tomorrow. My source told me that at the ceremony few years ago, the principal actually pinned the badge for every boy on the stage. Wonder if it's the same tomorrow. :?
Yes, glad that no taupok incidents.
Cannot agree more that the bonding was great and the camp, although scary was fun.
My boy was back with exhaustion but seems like the cheers they learnt were similar with the sister's school. Both of them were happily reciting their cheers together - ha...like practicing . Probably both are excited about the ceremonies today. -
Yay, I'm in MORRISON!! ((:
:celebrate: -
And it was truly a grand ceremony indeed! A pity we were not seated along the aisle, and couldnt even see son as he came down the steps; but we kept our cameras rolling and managed to spot him when we played back the video.
And the teachers and principal all togged up in gowns made me imagine they were gonna have a welcome ceremony like at hogwarts!
After all the inspiring speeches, thank yous and cheers, I’m sure all the students now felt part of the Rafflesian family…Mine certainly did! -
here's one of the scary shows they watched on Fright Night...
