I said why dun MOE just change all primary school name to Ai Tong1, Ai Tong2, Ai Tong3 to… Ai Tong 300. And no teaching staff + primcipal are suppose to stay in the same school for more than 2-4 years.

All school will get equal funding/resources.
All school are good school or bad school.
No more argument over alumni vs distance VS PA.
We will be one step nearer to a utopian state like a communist country… It is a wonderful world.

stonston, what i know for most methodist, they dont require the kids to be baptised. either parent (baptised & be member) will do. But it has some min timeframe to be accepted as member after attending the church service says at least 1-2yrs prior membership ceremony etc. this is what i know 🙂

For my church the child but be baptised (infant/child baptism) and registered as member of the church.
Time frame I'm not too sure as my kids were baptised at 2yo.

In that case, seems that there is no control in the number of methodist who try for phase 2B via church affliation?
Very hard to guess how many there will be each year and if there will be extra spaces flowing to phase 2C??

Seems that this primary one registration also depend alot on luck and if we are risk taker... Macham gambling.
Place bet wrongly. Lost a chance. Worse, end up in phase2C-Supp with leftovers after PRs/foreigners.

          😢

Ai Tong and Tao Nan is the top 2 of the Hokkien Huay Guan schools.
They are both SAP schools and have consistently produced good PSLE results. The rest of the Hokkien Huay Guan school are good too

AiTong emphasise a lot on moral and civil upbringing. The principle is a very dynamic person ( you will know when you talk to him:) ) and the teachers are approachable and competent.

Ya, Ai Tong is so popular that I have several friends who moved house just to stay within 1km. It is also rather academic and rigorous and they produce students of good character

Yes. they do have a very rigorous PSLE program. When my daughter took her PSLE last year, I did not have to do much preparation for her as the school already covered all the bases. That really removed a lot of PSLE stress for me and my wife 😂
