Then the Wed will be the Tuition Day for most of the students LOLbagabunny:
Every Wed is 'No homework day' for Ai Tong School.
No wonder everyone wants to get into the school..hahaha..
But I think it's really good..give the poor kids a break
perhaps most schools have CCAs on wed so end earlier and maybe less homework.
Aiyoh, no hw better..im lazy mum, cannot supervise kids everyday.
They need sunshine and play too! -

My biggest fear is even these okay schools will be taken up....not by citizen but PRs.Hi everyone
I am really in a pessimistic mood. Jus in case I end up in 2c supp, if u r me will u choose which of the school below:
First Toa Payoh
ZhongHua
Guangyang
Please advise on these schools if u ve any. Need directions. I feel abit lost.
Many thanks!!
If I am a PR, i will not be silly to vie for the popular schools coz i know I will stand zero chance. So I will aim for those ok schools which are not highly sought after at the moment in 2C, but will be considered the better choice in 2C supp.
So for citizens that are balloted out in phase 2C and are thrown to phase 2C supp, even the \"better\" schools in phase 2C supp would all be taken in phase 2C by PRs. Then can really :stupid: :stupid: -
I am SPR within 1km in Ke Ming . Pls advice chose my first choice of Ke Ming or just give up chose Bukit View better . Thanks .

Scenario:
Assuming the lesser vacanies a school has in phase 2C, the more popular the school is which is the case in Spore. \t
For example, if the schools in a neighbourhood has the following vacancies:- \t
School A with <10 vacancies \t
School B with <40 vacancies \t
School C with <80 vacancies \t
School D with 150 vacanies \t
\t
I suppose typical SC will try for School B, with some risk takers trying for School A, since SC have priority over PR. \t
So PR will not try School A and B since these will be the schools which SC are fighting for. \t
PR will likely go for School C, get a confirm place in an average school, why not, at least its not the worst. \t
\t
So after the blood shedding Phase 2C and I am balloted out from School A or B. Of course, I will want to join School C in phase 2C supp. \t
But sway sway, this time round, School C is totally taken up by PRs and there are nothing left after phase 2C. \t
I will only left with School D!!!
:frustrated: :stompfeet:
I hope I am not worrying too much. But this is really what I fear most. -

You should be worrying about The Minton.carolkch1308:
I m looking at plmgs under phase 2C. I m SC and within 1 km. I hope the trend follows the previous years whereby balloting only for 1-2km if there's any.
But I m worry abt the new condos that are flooding the area. Anyone knows whats the TOP for Bartley Residence? This development is the larger near PLMGS.
That is also a hugh development opposite PLMGS.
Me worse, I am a SC 1-2KM away.
Confirm need to ballot. Dunno what is my chance.
I just did a research on The Minton. Its TOP is 2013, so those who bought this property can actually enrol their DDs in PLMGS in 2010 for their kids who is in P1 in 2011. Cos the MOE guidleine indicate that as long as the TOP is within 2 years after the kids enrolled in P1, parents can use the address for registration.
I hope I did not interprete the guideline wrongly.
So, we have to assume to some degree the prior year application number has already taken this group of kids into consideration. -

Do neighbourhood primary schools produce scholars? Well, tonight we meet Tan Le En, she's a Nanyang Scholar, and a Pasir Ris Primary School alumni. She tells us about her time in primary school. We will also have an A*STAR scholar speaking to us about her experience. Catch us at 9pm tonight on Ch 5.

Hi,RickTan:
I am under phase 2c applying for plmgs. Sc and within 1 km. Looking at the results really stress me up. What are the chances of balloting?
If you are SC and within 1km, should be no problem one. In 2011 & 2010, only 1-2km need ballot.

Thanks for the link.
Any idea how many places are allocated to 2C last year?
This year's 2C should be 73.
Is that more than last year?
PLMGS has 72 vacancies for Phase 2C.
I think this year just slightly lesser compared to prior years.
Take a look at this chart for your info.
