Any Chinese Physician to recommend? :)

Not sure if TCM should be the answer. What about visiting the National Skin Centre?
If I recall correctly, a similar situation happened to an ex-colleague a few years back. She was bitten by an insect (like you, she thought it was a mozzie bite) but the bite became infected and filled with pus. Had to go for day surgery. It took some time to heal. -
My 4 year old gal had prolonged cough when she was three. Her first asthma attack wasn't at all pleasant. As the anxious parents, we brought her to western (PD) and TCM. For whole year, she didn't get any better. Doctors (incl TCM) suggested had asthma may be due to allergy to dust mite, pollen and weather. We did what we could - change bedsheet, wash with hot water, stay away from flowers etc...
Someone from Nature Glory told us not to let my gal take any chinese medicine. She mentioned that some of the herbal or chinese medicine contained some ingredient which may not be suitable for their age group. :?
The worst attack was when we were in Australia... it was near winter. However, it also made us realised her cough/asthma was due to cold weather. We started to let her wear a little more thicker clothing, moved her bed away from aircon, sweater a must in the aircon enivornment, aircon temp at 27 deg. and started her with the crocodile meat tonic soup (thanks to her nanny! )... she's slowly getting better now. Thank god!

I think you are right. That's why we shd only choose reliable chinese physician. I only let my kids visit this recommended chinese physician who is specialized in children illness only. There was once I changed to other physician, because this physician Xu was on leave that night. Wow... my boy got diarrhea after taking the medicine! I stopped the medicine immediately. My 4 year old gal had prolonged cough when she was three. Her first asthma attack wasn't at all pleasant. There’s this chinese clinic near kembangan mrt (Yu Guo clinic tel 64474761) which is highly recommended by my friend. I brought my dd (6 yrs old) who was sick every month. This clinic does massages (even for 2 mth old babies) and prescribe chinese powder and liquid medicine. Each massage session (abt 20 -30 min) and medicine for 4 days cost $45; and this is a long term "therapy". My dd went there once a week for 3 months already and she had stayed "non sick" during this whole period !!
She has just started P1 this yr and we have to see how to fit in her schedule. Seems like she needs to go for her massage + medicine for another 6 mths or so. Met many parents with young babies and kids who have been there for mths or even yrs - so the chinese way is tedious as they tend to slowly "adjust" the qi or immunity system. We have to wait for abt 2 hrs during weekdays so it’s quite time consuming and costly. You may want to call them up and check. Btw, the chinese physician said air-con is a no-no as well as food like egg white, prawn, bird’s nest and cooling fruits like water melon and banana. -
Hi Bowie,
I used to cut big onion and leave it in the room where my girl sleeps when she has a sniffle. You may want to try and see if it helps. -
Hi Bowie,
You can try meridian therapy on her. Just by pressing on the accupressure points on her, you will be able to relieve the irritations on her nose. To know more, you can call me at 97226844 to discuss further. -
You can try Dr Liu Huei Chuan 90038258. Very nice Taiwanese lady who’s a trained Western Doc as well as tcm.
I’ve also read about onions by the bedside being good for colds. Haven’t tried it for sensitive noses but should try. -

Yes! You can take the q number in the morning or afternoon for evening consultation. But that means you have to go there twice. Time consuming too especially if you are staying far fr there.
