I am definitely one for Chinese calligraphy. So much to learn about control through that and teaches the child the beauty of chinese characters.

Yes, calligraphy is my \"thing\", I don't do 水墨画 though...

I practice on 宣纸 but am not sure where to get in SG, I stock from Taiwan.

Lately, I am into 「狂书」 :boogie:

Do you mean 宣纸 (xuan1 zhi3)? I saw Popular selling them. You can use the calligraphy exercise books too, also can be found at Popular or other bookstores.

I got this too from Berries.

But bear in mind water pens require diff grip from 书法 brushes。I learnt 书法和水墨画for several yrs when I was in pr sch. U need to grip the brush in a specific way and no arm or elbow rest for 书法。Very siong! But we used to play cheat by resting elbow on table. Usually after ink has dried up.
