Do you believe in TCM? When I was much younger, I used to take "Bai Fong Wan" to relieve the cramps. Works to a certain extent.

It also helps when I cut down the so-called cold/cooling stuff.

boiled old ginger with water, add a little gula Melaka. It relieves bloatedness, perhaps can help in cramps.

Thanks for the tips. We’re not so into the hot water bottles (in Singapore!) and various brews and my daughter doesn’t take cold drinks or food anyway. I’m going to get some ibuprofen or naproxen which are the usual medications recommended. They work differently from paracetamol.

I take Synflex when the cramps are really bad. Available by prescription and to be taken with Veragel. There’s a generic painkiller but Synflex is the original. The original works better on me.

You can consult the doctor about it. For me, it’s the only thing that works when the cramps and headaches get really bad.

Interesting...so hot milo better than hot water inside bottle? :scratchhead:

                    Drinking hot milo helps.
Placing hot water bottles ( aka hot packs ) against the abdomen helps.
