oh…we signed up cos we were under the impression that the PTA will regularly engage the parents so that there is good rapport between the school and the parents.
No wonder this year it was reported that very few parents of Sec 1 joined the PTA group.
On hindsight, this KS forum is a better "meeting" place to know what is going on in RV. -

Hahaha ! True, not only for RV, for many parents in other schools too.

Daisyt, your post number 888, nice number. haha.
My daughter still waiting for her dance trial on Fri but what we heard from other Sec 1 classes, they only asked those who are interested and with background to step forward for registration, no dance trial so far. When she go for other CCA trials, she has indicated her interest below 5 on the scale of 1 to 10. She said she wanted to put 10 for dance should they hand her the form. I told her to give it a try for others too, who knows there could be other CCAs that she's more interested other than dance. -
WOW ! I didn't notice my post number 888 leh ! Justsay, you are observant !  Must buy 4D !
Wish your girl can get into her dream CCA.

Oh yes ! BTW, any of your kids mention about the aeroplanes fly pass the school, so noisy and irritating when they having lessons. :x
It can 4 to 5 times a day. :x -
I heard there was a big hoo-ha in RV relating to the dismal "O’ level results for those weaker students who had dropped out of the IP train. Apparently the "o" level results of these students were worse than the national average in Singapore. And some of these students are now blaming the teachers for the poor showings.
At the back of my mind there is always this perennial reservation that IP school tends to adopt a more laid-back approach to teaching, as there is no "o"level to worry about and thus the focus is on learning rather than content. The corollary is that the students end up with weaker foundation in their core subject matter.
How true is this? Anyone wants to share your view? -
Aeroplanes flying past there very common lah. From the AirForce training.
