Do you mean baptised? It's not enough to show your baptism certificate.
The important thing is that you or your husband must show membership in a church affiliated to the school. For example, if you want your child to be able to apply under phase 2B to one of the methodist schools, you or your husband must be a active member in one of the methodist churches in Singapore.
Before Phase 2B starts, you or your husband will then have to get an official letter endorsed by the pastor-in-charge of your church. You will need to show this letter on the day of registration.

Your child doesn't need to be baptised.

I joined SHHK a few years back and did not get the recommendation for phase 2B, I seriously recommend parents to join grassroots instead of Clan. It will also be more fulfilling to serve the residents.

Hi there, my question seems to have dissapeared. My hubby is a church goer at Telok Ayer methodist church. He was baptised there as a child and recently went through an adult baptism too. How do we go about getting the letter for 2014 registration? Is there a certain number of years that he has to be a member? Does the child have to be baptised as methodist for registration into phase 2B? Is the church affliated to ACS J and ACSP? Thank you in advance.

sorry, r u staying within 1-2km? if u failed during P2B, ... do u ve any alternative plan? for what I know, P2B in both ACS are a tough war! do plan carefully and good luck for your kids enrolment

Thanks for your well wishes! I'm within 1 KM to both ACS - fingers crossed i'll be having a mini heart attack during phase 2B next year. FAINTzzz
