My daughter has a serious fungal infection which affected her whole back, chest and upper arms. We went to a skin specialist and did some tests. So it was 2 types of fungus on her skin. Was given an aggressive treatment which consisted of oral medication, medicated cleanser and ointment. No improvement at all after almost 2 months of treatment, new infection still appears. I thought of seeking another specialist's opinion.

Anyone had such problem or know of another specialist who can help?
      Thanks
u may want to consider TCM for her case as there isn't improvement...

        Hi jjxymum,

We had disappointing results with Tcm treatment for other problems. So no confidence in them anymore.

I will suggest going to a skin specialist at National Skin Centre.

Diet, like skip seafood and increase fruit/veggie intake?

Changed bedsheets/duvet/Bath towel regularly? Ditch your down pillows/down duvet. Removed all rugs, carpets, soft toys and curtains? Bought anti dustmite mattress? Maybe the mattress got microbacteria? Got spray FeBreeze?

Did u sun the mattress? Disinfect all the laundry per wash and sun thoroughly

Wear only cotton tops and other breathable bras from reputable brands. No cheap polyester bras…

                Cut long hair?

Dd is also allergic to dust mite. So I have taken all precautions. No rug, no curtain, no soft toys, anti-mite pillow, mattress etc. we don’t take seafood.

Thanks all for the doctor recommendations. Will call up to enquire.

You may want to try this cream, I think its called "Dakterin" and it can be bought at Watson or Guardian. Its quite a powerful anti fungal cream. Try a concentrated application on a small part of the back first, and monitor if any effect.
