How old were you when you had your first child?
-
I had my 1st baby at 25yr, 2nd at 27yrs and 3rd at 33yrs, then closed factory. to say the truth, having babies at younger age is much easier. When I looked after my 2 kids before 30yr, I don't feel so tired. Now with my 3rd one, I am tired quite often.
Even during pregnancies, feel different too. For the 1st 2, don't really have much problem as compared to the 3rd one. For me, if I would to recommend, I would still get my sisters to give birth before 30yrs. For my 3rd one, if not for 'accident', I will just have 2 kids. imagine when my 1st kid is 20yrs, I am just 45yr, hmm, almost time to enjoy already.
However, I must say, having kids at an early age, can't give much to the kids, as finance is still not very good. So have to see what you want in life.

I encourage all my friends to have kids YOUNG. Money will come in when you need it, serious. With kids, the motivation much higher. I have friends who don't think that they want to have kids young, but after seeing how I'm 'surviving' with my boy & earning more than them, they realised that having a kid does not hinder them if they know how to manage.
Sometimes they need to see and understand how DOABLE it is before they realise that they can do it too! -

Yes, agree, with kids. the motivation is much higher. And truely, I work hard not only for myself but also for my family.

I had my 1st at 27 after 2 yrs of marriage. I had my last baby at 41 - that one, super-duper exhausting.
I'm 47 now and my eldest will be 20. Only have to wait until now to enjoy, meh? hehe. Still have to support in university leh. But if you talk about \"enjoying\" I think once they go into secondary school - quite much relaxed already... their own problems - leave them to solve it themselves. -

Get a hobby, get a job (if you're a SAHM) or do volunteer stuff? I was waiting for my kids to get to sec age and for us to return to Singapore. Not that I disliked my SAHM years or want to totally wash my hands off my kids (I haven't!), but I feel it's high time to move on. I married at 23 but had my kids at 32 and 35. I've never been the type who enjoys babies and small kids, so I don't miss that stage at all. I'm now 50 and starting a new phase of life!mine is clearly sec in 2 yrs time.. agree... once they go sec, quite relaxed as i expect them to solve their own problems. just need to guide and coach once a while...
