Times have changed...many women now are going for career even when married and then have kids.

I had my first child at 28 right after getting married the year b4...didn't want to 'test' my biological clock and regret later.
Had my 2nd one at 32 and CLOSED FACTORY bcos we couldn't afford any more energy and time for more kids.

First one born with cleft lip/palate and the number of times going to see this and that doctor made us (ESPECIALLY me) scared of having another one. So when I had #2, gender did not matter to me at all. During the detailed scan at 5 months, the sonographer did a very detailed scanning and even called in her supervisor for confirmation. Even though scan was perfect, I still worried another 4 months until her birth.
Kudos to you janet_lee88, for being a strong and loving Mom :celebrate:

I had my 1st baby at 25yr, 2nd at 27yrs and 3rd at 33yrs, then closed factory. to say the truth, having babies at younger age is much easier. When I looked after my 2 kids before 30yr, I don't feel so tired. Now with my 3rd one, I am tired quite often.

Even during pregnancies, feel different too. For the 1st 2, don't really have much problem as compared to the 3rd one. For me, if I would to recommend, I would still get my sisters to give birth before 30yrs. For my 3rd one, if not for 'accident', I will just have 2 kids. imagine when my 1st kid is 20yrs, I am just 45yr, hmm, almost time to enjoy already.

However, I must say, having kids at an early age, can't give much to the kids, as finance is still not very good. So have to see what you want in life. πŸ˜„

I encourage all my friends to have kids YOUNG. Money will come in when you need it, serious. With kids, the motivation much higher. I work hard not only for myself but for my family.

I have friends who don't think that they want to have kids young, but after seeing how I'm 'surviving' with my boy & earning more than them, they realised that having a kid does not hinder them if they know how to manage.

Sometimes they need to see and understand how DOABLE it is before they realise that they can do it too!

agree too but nowadays young people prefer to wait very long.

i had my first at 25, second 28 and third 29. Agree… earlier is better. Now I am counting down to the day they get to work and planning my retirement. While I can still walk, I want to go honeymoon with hub again with least worries on my kids!!!

Haha - Age of mother at pregnancy - BIG difference!

I had my 1st at 27 after 2 yrs of marriage. I had my last baby at 41 - that one, super-duper exhausting.

I'm 47 now and my eldest will be 20. Only have to wait until now to enjoy, meh? hehe. Still have to support in university leh. But if you talk about \"enjoying\" I think once they go into secondary school - quite much relaxed already... their own problems - leave them to solve it themselves.

mine is clearly sec in 2 yrs time.. agree... once they go sec, quite relaxed as i expect them to solve their own problems. just need to guide and coach once a while...
but then... the agony comes... i am thinking i will start to miss their baby times, their primary school coaching in studies, etc etc... 😒 i must say i am enjoying this year and next year before i become too free
