2014 TOP PSLE T-SCORE (EXCL HMT) - THE MAGIC 3D NUMBERS
-
This year (2014) -
Two schools that have the word "Nan" (Nan Hua, Nan Chiau) performed better than Nanyang, over 2 aspects -
- higher Top score
- Nan Hua have a higher % of pupils that scored 250 and above.
not sure if Nan Chiau have higher or lower % of pupils scored 250 & above, compared to Nanyang ?
noted That Nan Chiau is non-Gep.
The same question applies to Tao Nan (another school with Nan), Tao Nan is Gep & Sap
to be Principal of Top schools : is stressful, because parents, Others are watching, like a hawk

Can wait 2+ years down the road so that my turn for PSLE is over by then before MOE implement this other \"quick-fix\" which probably cause more issues? Abolish this T-score and I really will :scratchhead: how to determine range to choose schools
:frustrated:
What's the problem with choosing schools again if T-score is abolished? :?
Student A scores 2A and 2A* can be higher T score than 3A* and 1 A .
Student c scores 2A and 2A* can be of different score of 20 marks
Student A - A and A * may be on the high side and student B may be the borderline .
If that is the case student A may not choose very good school or IP school which the student qualify -

Anyone knows the avg t-scores of RGPS, MGS & scgs? They should all be in the 23x range.

For SCGS 2012 and 2013 avg t-score 233.87 and 235.48 (96.9% and 96.3% eligible for Express Stream, 100% passes). This year don't have the figures yet.
For MGS, historically, always 1-2 marks above scgs avg t-score. 2012 ksp thread, someone posted 235.3.
I think it's fair to compare MGS with SCGS as both are MS schools. Any comparison with RGPS GEP centre may not be fair.
