Any Recommendation of a Good Maid Agency
-
Hi Lynette, can you also pm me the agency’s contact number? Many thanks!

I browsed through the pages and I looked at how people judge an agency based on statistics on the MOM website as well as other sources instead of their personal experience over at the agency makes me wanna laugh hard.
Firstly, statistics in the MoM websites merely shows the retention rates, and transfer rates. its only numbers. there are other factors to consider as well, (of course, partly there may be the fault of the agency having bad maids etc whatever… not entirely). FDW Transfer Rate means "Percentage of FDWs who, within the past 12 months, have been placed by the same EA to 3 or more employers out of the total number of FDWs it placed." Does it really mean the maid is bad? Could it be the maid was unlucky enough to have 3 or more bad employers? Similarly, if an employer had changed 3-4 maids within 12 months, does it really mean that the agency have lousy maids, or it’s more towards the employer’s problem? THINK
Secondly, as i’ve said, statistics are only numbers. Look at some agencies having 100% retention rates and 0% transfer rates. WOW AMAZING, does that really quantify the effectiveness of the agency? I can say that some agencies work in a way, that have 2 companies, Company A is used to market all the maids first taken from the agencies, and having any transfer maids, they would remarket them in Company B so as to maintain their statistics in company A. Sounds logical?
Thirdly, we are dealing with HUMANS not GOODs, LIVING THINGS GUYS, do you buy a puppy at the pet shop who tells you they won’t bite, you PERSONALLY feel it, "interviewed" it, and confirmed it does not bite, and you get it. As times passed by, say few months down the road, the puppy has grown, and starts to bite due to whatever reason, and you go back to the pet shop and complain of the pet shop’s inability to get a suitable pet?? Likewise, everyone have the experience of getting bad maids. Do you really think sales personnel in the agency would want an employer to come back at the end of the day and jeopardise their sales for your replacement because apparently "they have not done a good job finding suitable maids for me?" In most cases, ultimately you are also interviewing the maid and you are the one confirming her. Parents, it’s all about human relations. it takes 2 hands to clap.
Fourthly, if you are sincerely getting a maid, please do not compare prices, unless the particular agency charges are way too high off the usual rates that you have heard of. Chances are, they are $50-$300 difference. No money, don’t hire. Most importantly, is the services you get.
In conclusion, I just feel that people should judge agencies based on personal experience instead of mere statistics as well as other factors. Statistics are mere statistics for the particular factor, there are other factors that are needed to be factored in. Agencies can play with numbers too. Popular agencies can give you a bad experience, while agencies that you never heard before can give you the most memorable good experience.
Yes I am an agent from a Maid Agency, but I am not here to market my agency, nor say bad things about others. I am giving my point of view based on my experience, the clean and dirty tricks in this industry -
Recommend my Maid Agent Dylan @96490891 from 1 Assist Agency. His agency fee is reasonable and he will try to match your needs to suitable maids.

Imho, there is no good or bad agency, it all depend on the maids that we got, and its like buying lottery.
More importantly is the salesperson we deal with. -
The maid agency i use has low transfer rates, but the owner is quite open about the reasons of why the maids are being transferred. and they don’t keep nonsense maids which is good. now they are opening another branch in tanah merah, Service is good, not pushy

Thanks for the sharing. Very helpful. Agree that qualitative things matter more. But quantitatively MOM data are the only numbers we can use. Is it fair to say agencies with good numbers are not necessarily good, but bad numbers are definitely should be avoided?I browsed through the pages and I looked at how people judge an agency based on statistics on the MOM website as well as other sources instead of their personal experience over at the agency makes me wanna laugh hard.

I personally feel that we need to go for a reliable maid agency and not just choose based on the lowest agency fees.
I use Nation@Jurong and I have a good consultant Suzanne. She is honest and is able to advice me how to choose my maid. The training at Nation is also tough and comprehensive. Thankfully I have nil maid issues so far.
Besides luck and good maid agency, its also important that the agency has the right maid bios for you. Don’t compromise your requirements just cos the agency does not have the bio you want. Move to another agency.
Before I get my maid, I went to 10 different agencies to collect the maid bio-data. -

Hi mummyholic
I have pm you the details. -
Hi all,
Does the employer pay for the renewal of passport or the maid has to pay? -
I don’t think there is a rule that says employer has to pay for the maid’s passport renewal. So it is up to the employer.
