Gynae

I am very sorry to read this. I do not have similar experience but I really hope you will sail through this health ordeal. :snuggles:
-
to find out you are going through this.. :hugs:
I was told I was not able to have children after I had excruciating pain in my lower abdomen as well but i wasn't having period, in fact i was still breastfeeding DD1 then who was just about 8mths young.
Even during my foot reflexology session during the same time (i thought to get help to improve my blood circulation and also help relieve my abdominal pain via the session), the auntie told me (when i flinched as she applied pressure on a certain area on my sole), \" ni de dan bu hao\" (your eggs no good) referring to the ovaries.
Indeed, the next time the pain came, i couldn't even stand (it was just too painful to bear) and hubs brought me to SGH's A&E where i was warded. At the hospital after some culture tests and other body check up, i was diagnosed to have cysts in my ovaries and womb which i was advised to remove so that they could send the bits for testing (to test for any cancer cells).
I eventually went through a procedure, cannot remember what it is right now... ... at NUH. 3 gynaes attended to me during that procedure. :faint: -
Hi ngl,
I am shocked to learn of your ordeal.
Hope you get another opinion if you are not comfortable. -
Ngl did mention briefly about this at the 'Heavy Menses' thread.. I was hoping her 2nd consultation with another gynae would bring good news.. But...
Yes.. Better to seek a 3rd opinion, then decide from there..
Please take care !! :hugs: -
Hi,
Sorry to hear about your case. I am similar in the sense that I have multiple fibroids (smaller than yours) & just waiting for menopause (if possible) & under half-yearly monitoring. I was also recommended to remove uterus but the doc told me I do not have to remove my ovaries. Hence, not quite sure why your 2nd gynae recommend removing your ovaries. Do get a third opinion if possible. Take care -
Hi sweetie,
Please take care. I will be praying for you :snuggles: -
Dear Ngl2010, really sorry to hear about your problem. Dr WK Tan’s popularity is really premised on good delivery techniques but this is not your problem. I don’t know what Dr SC ng’s specialty is. However, I would recommend Dr Loh Foo Hoe at Mt E’s Women’s Specialist Associates. He is a specialist in endometriosis and laparoscopic surgery. When I first knew him, he was Associate Prof and Head of the Minimally Invasive Surgery unit of NUH. A very good knowledgeable guy. Although he delivered my kids beautifully, I always knew delivery of babies was truly 大材小用 for him. All the best and hope you get better soon.

I do not know of any gynae in this specialisation.
Will pray for you to find the right one. -
Hi ngl,
I pm you the contact of a gynae oncologist in Mt E (specialises in women’s diseases such as reproductive organs’ cancer, menopause, fibroid, etc. She doesn’t do delivery at all.).
I went through her for my surgery when I was suspect of cervix cancer.
Seems good (as in detailed).
Best wishes…
