May i check any difference for parent to apply on the morning or afternoon for any phase since the result will be known few days? or it is different for the different phase that one is in? thank you

theres no difference in applying at anytime or day as long as its within the same phase.

The school won't confirm any seats until the whole registration period is over for each respective phase. So you can still \"sway\" the outcome \"disturb the balance\" by registering at the last minute on the last day. :roll:

Do take note that quite a numbers of schools has reduced their total vacancies compared to 2015.


A total of 67 schools reduced their intake by 30-60 seats in 2016. A total of 2,070 reduced vacancies nationwide (Phase 3 applicants to be more worried in this area)

Typically reduced vacancies are targeted at the \"unpopular\" schools. However, there are a few popular school reduced their intake in 2016. If you are eyeing on these schools, at Phase 2C or as backup for Phase 2CS, you might want to reassess your plans and risk.

In 2015, these schools are oversubscribed in Phase 2C or with less than 30 seats left at Phase 2CS :

Hi, first time registering for Pri 1. Have a question for all the experts on the process please - this year’s Phase 2B is July 18-19 (and balloting expected) and announcement of result is July 22. My question is when will balloting be conducted - which day and would parents be informed of timing or how do parents normally keep track of what day/time the balloting is conducted?

Normally the school will inform the parents on the date & time of balloting exercise. It's then up to the parents whether they want to attend or just to get the update after the balloting is over.

while checking the document required->Immunisation Records, I found my child does not have PCV (Pneumococcal Conjugate Vaccine) in immunisation history. i am wondering why…and is this a must for p1 registration?

Usually, balloting will be conducted on the result day itself, not sure if it is the same for all schools.
School will inform the parents the time and date of the balloting exercise. We received the notification via mail. we were also informed of the time and date of balloting exercise, should there be oversubscription, during registration, on the registration acknowledgement slip.
