Any Updates As To When PSLE T-Scores Will Be Scrapped?

After observing the level of interest in this whole AL grading on display here in Kiasuparents. I told my son's math tutor, Mr Zhou, that his centre should start offering a course on \"Game Theory\" for all the parents of this batch of primary 1 students. We had a good laugh at the absurdity of it.
Game Theory is in play, knowingly or unknowingly for most people, for most part of our lives.
Just live with it...we need to compete w others in this global village anyway.

No matter how MOE tweak the PSLE system, stress level among parents will always remain because everyone is still eyeing for the ultimate prize of getting their kids into the top secondary schools. As we all know that kiasuism is part of our Singaporean identity and culture, so no matter how the system is tweaked, kiasuism will still lead us back to the rat race of trying to compete for the limited place in elite schools. So instead of tweaking PSLE, perhaps MOE could invest more resources in improving the standard, facilities and branding of less popular secondary schools.
Ultimately parents will need to be mindful that its the kids who are carrying the weight and taking all the physical and mental "abuses" from extra classes, tuition, great expectation etc and what work for one kid might not work for the others. -

Those who are well-versed in Math Olympiad questions (from enrichment classes) were able to score well. It brought much stress to the batch taking PSLE 2010 but the 'math killers' didn't appear from then. Is History going to repeat itself and bring back the stress?

At the end of the day, as parents, we are the ones who stress our kids not anyone else. i think we should not abscond that responsibility to the government or anyone else.
How many parents here are OK with their kids taking foundation subject, going to normal stream? Everyone is talking about her their children will missing out on the best schools under the new system because their kids will score 260+ under the current system. What if they can’t? Are they worth less because of that?
How many parents here are from GEP, SAP schools, scored 260+ for their PSLE? I’m not and I’m not sleeping on the streets. -

That one I think parents not OK also got no choice. Actually I have no idea what sort of T-score dd will get come PSLE. Her school is the type where Phase 2C also usually no ballot. This semester the science and maths mean for the cohort dropped to 68+. Yet some children apparently managed to get 100 for maths and/or 97.5 for science.
