Hmm, a bit different in terms of administration. For VJC case, all IP students are already in its school uniform currently.

Different from vca. The 3 sec schools are very independent....

It is perfectly normal for IPJCs to wait for JAE students to join them, before the students don their JC uniforms. RI & RGS students wear their Sec Sch uniforms @ RIJC till mid/end Feb, after the JAE students join them.

How was your DS / DD's first day @ Eunoia JC ? Do they like the temporary campus, and their new friends ?

Are there any logistics or other issues to take note of ? Please share. Thank you..

Nothing actually. Everything was very smooth.....My DD said the school was \"brand new\". Every thing was well renovated as promised.

How come the JC campus look so small? Is the stadium a public stadium or belongs to Eunoia JC? Any swimming pool? Seen like it will be a high rise JC....

the concept was to have a glass viewing area at the top floor that can overlook most of Bishan park...

besides Bio, which other experienced A level subject Teachers, transfer over from RI or from Hwa Chong or National JC (if any), to Eunoia ?

how about Economics Teacher ?

May be slightly higher points since it is a new JC and has no track record, so people will be more cautious?

But shouldn't forget that it's still a JC with IP so I would think that it should be around the same or better than the (currently) nearby ACJC.

I saw this statement from HCI's FAQs for prospective JAE students 2017 (http://www.hci.edu.sg/uploadfile/College_OH_FAQs_Students.pdf )

What are my chances of entering HCI as a JAE student?

Very high, if you put HCI as first choice and meet our admission
cutoff. In fact, you stand an even higher chance of entering HCI
with the increasing number of schools going IP and especially with
the establishment of a new IP JC this year.

So the start operation of Eunoia JC and admission of JAE students seem likely to increase the competition for top students and will likely affect the cutoff points for some of the top JCs. With the 400s high ability students (probably most will go to the top JCs if they take O level) out of JAE and another 200s admitting to Eunoia..it will probably help to reduce the admission competition of top JCs which is a good things...so I guess the cutoff points for Eunoia will be probably quite low...another tough competitor at the top league..

I am surprised why top schools like HCI feel "threaten" by the incoming new Jc. They are the top 2 JCs in Singapore. For many years. IMO, they don’t have to publish such Q&A. I am also surprised even they are considering 6 pointers without Higher MT.
