Anyone has tried any good fertility doctor to recommend??
Hi Insider
Congrats to your friend! She can try Dr Chan Kong Hon of Gleneagles. He specialises in Infertility. Though I didn't have fertility problem I still went to him because he is a very reputable gynae. -

I had my first child when I was 40 - had no problem conceiving then. Pregnancy was an absolute breeze - no cravings, no morning sickness. Doctor asked if I wanted to do an amniocentesis but heard there is a risk of miscarriage so decided against it. I was blessed with a perfectly healthy boy. After that though, I had a few miscarriages.
Pros of being an older mum? I am more patient, more tolerant and take things in my stride.
Cons - No energy! As an older mum, I can't enjoy too many sporting activities with him - except cycling. I'm drained sometimes.......
For me, an ideal age would be 30 and below.
Prancingpony, so did you have a second child? I think it's very brave of you, and all older mums who have their first child at 40 and above, cos the risk of older mums are higher. And to go against the odds and still have that baby is definitely not easy. -
What is the oldest age for woman to be able to carry baby?
:? -
Donkey Kong:
There is no 'oldest age' per se. It all depends on the woman's body and the no. of eggs left in her body, as well as the quantity and quality of sperms of her husband. What is the oldest age for woman to be able to carry baby?

That's why I started this thread to all women \"will you have a child after age 40? Why and why not?\" but it was merged with this thread and somehow it got lost amidst the posts and I didn't get any response. :? -
So is there a way to have a child without wife involvement? scientifically and legally without hurting anyone? :?

Perhaps not in Singapore, but 蓝心媚 tried to have one from sperm bank so technically no husband involved and it is legal in Taiwan it seems. -

The other way is to adopt. But then again this requires both parties to consent, cos no adoption agency will let you adopt a child if it's a single parent family.
