Many parents are adopting a wait and see. It will be clearer on the last day.

Do you meant acsj? Chances for balloting for >2km very low. Even if you get the balloting chance, the odd is very low.

What you are thinking is the same as those 1-2km. And when you are >2km away, every child is eligible to apply. 20 spots it's like a pin in the sea.

Your balloting within 1km odds should be higher than acsj.

Those who have options will call the schools to ask anyway so no harm sharing.

I'm one with no alternatives as only acsp is within 1km for me. I'll try even if I have to ballot haha.

Imho, those SC kids within 1 km of ACSP will stand a high chance of getting in without balloting, given the higher than usual number of vacancies at Phase 2C this year.

Singhao, assuming your boy is an SC, since he is < 1 km, he will be guaranteed minimum a chance to try the balloting if it comes down to over subscription. So it's worth a try... :rahrah: :xedfingers:

As for the very brave PR kid, I hope you have a good back-up plan because any SC kid > 2 km will have admission priority over you (and there are many eying at ACSP  ).

Checked MOE website, ACJP 33 registered, ACSJ 30 registered, however there is no break down on distance or SC vs PR.

Is it true that ACSP students can have swimming lessons but not for ACSJ?

Both schools have swimming CCA. ACSJ swimming CCA is in Keppel Club. They used to allow P1 students to join, but ever since the new principal took over, they limited it to P2 students. So no more CCA for P1. Voluntary CCA for P2 & P3. Compulsory CCA for P4-P6.

Thanks! Hoping ACSJ can absorb more given it has 50 vacancies vs 39 at ACSP. Good if the applicants can be spread out evenly!
