I do not know was there anyone received WL without interview.
Logically thinking, I also think it’s either a clear CO or a clear reject for those no interview.
For those get call up for interview, there are 3 possible outcomes: CO, WL or reject.
I think, just I think it is good chance will get something.
I don’t think there is a fix ratio how many will go for interview. It depends on the performance of candidates of each cohort.
If this cohort has more promising candidates that are clear CO and filled up most of the vacancies, probably less will be called up for interview.
There are children got CO without interview, which came from MS neighbourhood school, not managed to get into 2nd round of NMOS and RIPMWC, not top student in primary school. -
Received rejection email already

Last year the results were out on 5th Aug I thing.Hi dagong99
Thanks for the information, hopefully they will be able to let us know the outcome by next week before 4 Aug.
The waiting games really makes me
:nailbite:
This is the only school DS keen for DSA, really hope he can make it through..
This year likely to be 4th Aug.
I can understand the stress of parents and worries especially if the child is very very keen on NUSH. But do try to be grounded otherwise you will land up transferring your anxiety to your children.
Some will get CO, some wont and some will be WL. Focus on PSLE. With orals in 1-2 weeks after the results of CO are streaming in, the children will have the stress of hearing in school who got COs and how many, and the inevitable comparisons. Every year there will be some hopefuls who didnt get , I dread to imagine the hit to their confidence and the pain they will go thru in this critical period. As parents we have to be the pillars for them to lean on, this is definitely not the time for us to be weak. But of course easier said than done.
Those who are called for interviews - from hearsay what I know is
Interview are for borderline cases and for those who did very well in some areas but did not in some areas giving mixed results, some might have messed up parts due to anxiety. The purpose of the interview to find out if the student will really fit the school. A misfit is more harmful to the student in the long run. Around 80 -100 are called, roughly 50% of those called are given COs or WLs, WLs have a high chance of being converted to COs, has always been so far, but of course it is not a sure thing. Those who are going to the interview, relax, answer honestly , dont oversell it often backfires, come back and demand your favourite meal from your parents.
Please note this is based on what I have heard from parents and students in the past few years , nothing official.
Joining NUSH is not the end objective, it is the start. It is better for a child to not get in, than get in struggle and falter. Take the DSA as a test to check suitability. If not this school, something better suited awaits our children.
So ya stress all you want during the day, bit nails, drink coffee, smoke, whatever. But when you child comes comes be the cool composed mom/dad, with the results of DSA being just another thing in the day.
All the best to the children who have attended the camp!!
Keep calm and Carry on ! -

Received rejection email already
This year seems faster than last year. Anyone received CO or WL also? -
Oh, just checked & received rejection email as well. Oh well, at least a closure & time to move on to focus on PSLE.
To all the other parents, all the best to your DC! -
For those who are keen, do try to apply after the result. My son didn't manage to be shortlisted but he did well for psle. He applied again after psle result and was shortlisted without interview. He is now doing well and adapting well, and coping well too. So, Don't give up! :xedfingers:

So means rejected DSA cases now in July, by NUS High : still can apply via PSLE T-score later on, in Nov, 4 months later ?
This gives hope to rejected cases, doesn't it ? -
Asking on behalf of my friend whose son dsa to NUSH. If she doesn’t received any emails for interview yesterday or rejection today, does it means her son might have CO or WL? Think no update on the website also. She hesitated calling NUSH as doubtful that the admin will have an answer for her

I've also seen some kids from neighbourhood school who got admission without interview. Hopefully my son can be that case too.I do not know was there anyone received WL without interview.
