Not true. After upgrading and moving back to original school site in 2016, Tao Nan intake still maintain at 360. No impact from decline birth rate. :?

In today's undesirable situation, KCS is a better choice than PCPS.
You mean Kheng Cheng School?!? Why so???

It is lacking in terms of extra academic support, unless your child is among the weakest. Only that handful get help from teachers. We used to have banded AS for all students from P3 to P6 but was scrapped since beginning of this year.

Overly relax environment with very little homework. My P4, on certain days, does not even have homework. I find my elder one getting lazier! A lot of home support (as in you have to be the one who supervise and give homework otherwise the child will be doing nothing and rotting at home) is needed and for working parents, it might not be easy to cope.

Thanks, you mean Pei Chun, right?
So Kheng Cheng is better because it gives more homework to the child and parents can supervise less? Does it also offer more academic support to most or all the students?

Frankly speaking, a lot of homework & AS class doesn’t mean can improve efficiency. I did talk to few parents b4, they hope school can stop afternoon AS bcos kids need more rest, some even need rush to private enrichment class after AS. Ai Tong also did not provide AS , can jump conclusion Ai Tong academic also not strong?

PeiChun still give equal opportunity to students who perform well to participate RI math Olympiad competition, NMOS, Singapore math Olympiad competition… For weak students continue AS in afternoon.
Last year total 20% of P3 Student sit GEP round 2, madam Ler (Ex-principal) mentioned is the best ever result and make her proud of Peichun kids.

This year is a great change / shock to the last practice of the sch. For AS, I thought is necessary to catch up on the subjects The sch has a much shorter curriculum timing as compared to other pri sch. PCPS generally ended sch at 12.25pm- 12.55pm latest. Most sch ended at 1.30pm. The difference if you add up is as good as 2 session of 30mins lacking from normal time. So now the poor teachers got to rush through and student grasp through the concepts. As for MTP, now they limit to 20 students only and was informed they reserve for weaker students. It seems that the sch is telling us that your kids are good enough? I thought MTP is for teachers to share the areas for your child to better improve? Even if you are top student, there should always be room for improvement right? In my opinion, the school seems like in a state of complacent.

I thought PTM is for teachers to share the areas for your child to better improve? Even if you are top student, there should always be room for improvement right? Sch also recently informed they will ensure our kids daily homework will not take more than 1 hour per day…sch seems to send a direction for us to chill… I welcome the idea for my lower pri kid but If my child is in pri 5/6 now and an avg student, I will be kinda of worried with all these changes…In my opinion, the school seems like in a state of ‘complacent’.
