No need to prepare, but I would be curious to know how my child can achieve although DD will be taking part next year.

School send out forms to sign up. I still on the fence. Son said if it’s difficult he doesn’t want. Hubby said must go for the test, at least for experience.

Test is conducted during curriculum time. So if your child doesn't want to take, he will have to entertain ownself. nothing to prepare, just go and have fun..

Just English and Mathematics test. English is just to test your strong vocabulary. If your child is an avid reader, he/she will probably ace it. Mathematics is a bit tricky. But if the child loves maths ,it should not be a prolem too. My child passed both rounds without any coaching or tutions. I didn’t expect him to get into GEP at all. So just let your child have a try.

We were in two minds as well. But figured there was no harm taking the test. Make the decision should the offer come. If it doesn't then nothing lost, right?
