Thanks for your sharing! I will go for Alexandra then because I have a baby boy.Gbh:
Hi! I'm staying at Redhill Close and thinking to enrol my gal into either a Christian school with secondary school affiliation i.e. Fairfield Methodist but it is >2 km away from my house. I am a church member but not sure if I could get a place for my gal in phase 2B. If not, Alexandra Primary School will be the other option that is <1 km but it doesn't have any secondary school affiliation. Would appreciate if anyone can advise which one that I should go for to secure the place for my gal? Any review on those 2 schools? Many thanks in advance!
Hi, Fairfield has had balloting for 1-2km category for phase 2B the past 5-6 years, so you are unlikely to have any chance there: https://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/article/queenstown/
You may have a chance at Alexandra Pri, the registration history is here: https://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/article/bukit-merah/
If you do not have a younger boy, I would suggest choosing Paya Lebar MGS in Hougang unless the school bus timing is too early for you. It is a good Christian girls school with secondary and JC affiliation, and almost confirmed can get in at phase 2B.
If u prefer a nearer girls school with affiliation, can consider CHIJ Kellock but it is Catholic not Protestant. -
I called Alexandra PS and they told me that there are no PV and no open house. So, it will be difficult to get in with all the new flats building near the school! Sigh!

Those interested in NYPS, registration for their PV (babies born in 2014) has started. Good luck!
Based on historical stats, if you aren’t SC (within 1km), your chances of being selected is very Low. A few GRL had it going for them this year (2011 babies) when there were fewer than 20 PV and sufficient vacancies for those who applied. No balloting for P2B at NYPS this year. :rahrah:

Hi, I am new to this board and has a son born in 2014, also a daughter born in 2017. I am having a huge headache shortlisting primary schools for my son as we have just relocated back to Singapore. How do I begin my search for a school that has a holistic approach to education, and not just focus largely on academic pursuits? No preference on area yet as we are still looking for a place to buy. Thank you in advance for any advice.

You can consider ACS Junior as it's really quite holistic. If you're only eligible for Phase 2C, I suggest that you get a place within 1 km of the school to increase your chance. Historically those within 1 km are quite safe for ACS Junior. -
hi all,
my son is born in 2014, we wish to enrol him in a school in near where my daughter (born in 2012) will be studying. Currently we are staying in west side but will be moving nearer to my girl’s school come this year end. If I register for GRL now, will I qualify for phase 2B in the choice school for my son (Tanjong Pagar GRC) ? How can I register to be serving in Tanjong Pagar GRC when we have not shifted yet?
Thanks! -
I want to put my Daughter into St. Hilda’s Primary. I’m an ex student in the primary and secondary school, hence we fall under Phase 2A(2), must I join the alumni to secure a place for my daughter in the school? Can someone advise what’s the percentage of acceptance into the school if I remain in Phase 2A(2)… thanks!

100% acceptance, 2A2 sure can get in. The history is here: https://www.kiasuparents.com/kiasu/article/tampines/ -

He has a boy n girl. Is ace junior a co-ed?[/quote]No it’s not. But the strategy is to settle the boy first. Girls holistic schools are very easy to find, so his daughter will have no problem.galaxyraider:

Holistic coed schools are too difficult to find. Please let us know if you ever hear of one good one.
