my p1 son is quite good so far only lost 1 or 2 pencils and colour pencils. I realised sometimes could be friends accidentally packed into their pencilcase, naughty friend purposely took away or stationery drop onto the floor without kids realising, by next day when they return back to cls, cleaners has already swept away.

For bigger things like water bottle, lunchboxes and etc, most schools have lost and found area, can checkout those places.

I am wondering if losing things are common for boys???

My P2  even more horrendous.... Left his workbook, files under his table. They share their classroom with upper primary... Next moment, his form teacher start to sms us to remind him to bring this and that and to my :!: , he misplaced it.

Hubby had to interrogate him, punish him and eventually called his form teacher to see if they can find those stuff. They managed to find some but it's incomplete. I was :x . Never had such problem with my P3 girl.... this chap is really a trouble maker :x :stupid:

I really hope he will learn after this incident. Really frustrated with him. :?:

DS in P1 lost a number of things. Now I give him all the plain design of pencil, ruler, easier to shcool.

Somebody even took his coin from his wallet. Money gone but put back the wallet in his school bag.

My dd2 lost her school uniform and skirt in separate occasions and never find back. She also lost her school books twice (different book) one found the other no. I insisted she had to find it but at the end teacher called me to get one for her. She lost a lot of small items and story books too. All this happened in lower primary. So when she go to upper primary she never lost her book and uniform, but lost her student card a few times. Found it back and lost again so many time until P6 totally lost. I didn’t make new one for her, she had to travel bus using coins in sec 1 till she got her new student card. Now she is more careful never lost her student card at all but still forget where she keep her things now and then. This don’t happen to dd1, she never lost her item. In-fact her is very careful when others took her things. ds in P1 now, so far only lost pencils and color pencils but still find them back. I use label with his name on the pencils so he can find back from his friend.

Put a name tag on each item so that it will be easier to distinguish if that item is his. At his age, specially boys, they are often too clumsy or do not think of keeping their stuff properly (playing is mostly in their minds). Why not try to compensate your child if ever he comes home with complete set of things. For example, give him something he likes (not necessarily expensive) if he returns home without any loss. This way, he’ll learn to value his things. I hope that helps.

I do not know abt P1 andP2 but fromP3 andP4 onwards, boys luv to play penfight. Its a game where you flick pens across a table and try to knock of other pens. Maybe that's why boys pens mysteriously diappear 😄

And if you think kids will stop losing things once they're in upp primary, think again!

My ds didn't bring home his sports shoes and socks after practice yesterday. Though I was the one who fetched him home, I didn't realise he wasn't carrying his shoebag; we only knew this morning after the maid told us about his missing shoes. Rushed back to the stadium, but alas, it was nowhere to be found.

                    Haiz...and he's already in sec1. 😢
                    This's for you, sonshine.. :spank:

So do most of you place labels on your DS or DD names on all the stationery? I've plans to do so when DS goes to P1 next year. I've even bought extra water bottles for stand-by when I saw them on sale!!

                        Super KS... 😉
