GreenQ:
Hi there,
Hi shurley197323,shurley197323:
... Do u still rem when u first visit
许医师. How often did u go.? Every few days or weekly ? For how long ? Because I can't understand why he only give 4 days medicine instead of longer ? Thanks
I think you have received 1 week medicine because the amount to be taken each time by children is only 10ml.
If ain't remembered wrongly, I brought my boy there forthnightly. Not every few days. So my boy has few days without medicine before re-visiting the physician again. That was when he has not cough or cough badly.
But when he showed serious wheezing cough, I brought him there weekly.
Hope your kids will be well recovered very soon!
Cheers...
Me too went there and arrived at 5,30pm and took a q number....we thought we quite early till the number buzz at 6.30pm
I was q now 8++ and guess wat the first no buzz was 700!
omg! i was shocked and so were some other folks...thankfully one person came up to me and ask me what no i was and gave me one number, hence i was able to see this famous doctor from this clinic.
She told me that if your number later >12(on his clinic) i may be turned away.
Well wifey and i never studied mandarin but thank gosh i had simple mandarin lessons so was able to communicate with doctor.
Yeah 5ml per session and need to put in a bowl and simmer it before consuming right ?
AFter simmering it dropped to 100ml......
Gosh i do hope that i did it right. -
Hi kelamel,
Yes. We have to simmer the medicine just as what u have done.
Oh... I faced the similar problem too. I was so shocked when I brought my kids to visit the physician 2 weeks ago!!! I reached there abt 6.15pm and I got the q number 900+! And when it was my turn to register (at abt 8.00pm), the registration counter said the q number for that physician was closed!! :!: He only received 12 patients. Sigh.......
He is a famous physician now...
(I remembered last year when I reached there ard 8.15pm, I still be able to get a q number to visit him.) -
My DS is already 8 and he is having coughing with phlegm almost every night! He will start to have itchy eyes and nose too(sometimes even nose bleeding!). I have been giving him Zyrtec from pharmacy and it did sometimes stop all the symptoms. But I think keep giving him Zyrtec cannot solve the problem. We visited the Singapore Baby & Child in Glengeagle frequently when he was younger, but now I have gave up. The bills r too expensive and most importantly, it didn’t cure him permanently. Can anyone help and advise on the treatment to the above mentioned. Thank you.

Oh no....yes me too i suffered this symptoms for 18 years !! before going to see a specialist in changi hospital (ear nose n throat) to remove my inflammed section of my nose due to the same symtoms your son is having. Most of the docs will just say flu, sinus etc... After prolonged running nose and block nose....i believe it will get inflamed...They insert a tube into my nose and somehow it can go any further...and once he remove it i started sneezing v badly....
As your Son if during the day he is only breathing on one side of the nose only if hes not on the medication?
Its probably due to sinus and than goodness u had zyrtec....i had nothing except for some expensive nasal sprays which imho was crap... u can also try clarinase....go malaysia pharmacy and get them
Sad to say its sinus we are allegic to dustmites big time....gd news after my operation.....sorta gone away...im 33 now and i do at times get the sneeze and just pop one tablet of clarinase. -

Do you mean you must go for surgery to get away with this sinus? I'm afraid my son won't want to. The last time when he was four, I took him to the ENT specialist, the doctor used a special tool to burn something inside his nose(i think the veins), my hubby and I had to hold him down to get it done. At the end, it was not done properly as he was struggling. Nevertheless, the sinus still exist till now! The doctor did say that he will outgrow this, but he's already 8 and is taking medication almost everyday. Anyway, can Zyrtec be taken in long term? Will there be any side-effect in the future? -

Ya, i think this is the only way (to live with it). I have no other choice too but to give him medicine (Zyrtec) when he starts to cough and has running and itchy nose. Hope that he will outgrow it and all the best to you too.

Hi, my 2 kids ( 6 & 9), they do have nose allergy (cough & nose block/running nose etc,) and I had been giving them Zyrtec for mths. But now about 2 - 3 mths ago, I start giving them Manuka Honey UMF. Since then, no more Zyrtec needed. I think it really help.
