I will also be going there to spend the new year there with my friends.

If you love Peranakan food, u have got to go to Ola Sayang!

I have tried a few Peranakan places there and I think that this is the best!

                  Hi penglee,

After looking at the blog you had posted, I'm thinking to go to Malacca with my family for a short break during one of the weekends in end Nov. The hotel's (Holiday Inn) room looks great and I'm planning to book a room there. Can I check whether the two single beds are big enough to sleep four person? (my kids are 8 and 12) We planned to book only one room.

                    hi S-H,

my room was only Rm150++ last time, and HolidayInn has increased their rates. (do they still have early-bird promotion?)
You might want to check with other nearby hotel near Mahkota Parade about rate, and their flexibility to squeeze in 4 people πŸ™‚

..worst come to worst, try smuggling the boys in, only after you have checked-in πŸ™‚

                    Whichever hotel it is :
                    - I think u should try asking for at least one Queen and 1 single, or 1 king
                    - you can do without the hotel breakfast, as Makohta has a lot of eateries + shopping.

                    cheers.

                        Hi Penglee,

I just found out from the newspaper that there is a guided tour with four meals to malacca (2D1N) organised by Grassland. Adult pay $168 and children (6-11) pay $123. Stay in city Bayview Hotel. Do you think this is worth joining? My hubby and mum(joining us too with sister’s family) suggested that we should join the guided tour bcos 1st time there.
