If there is a ballot, and the school has 52 applicants for 50 vacancies, do they choose 2 (to drop) or choose 50? :?

For audit purpose, think they're suppose to choose the 50. Otherwise why would locals want 2 ballot slips?

There were cases of reverse balloting. Meaning they'll draw out those names who will not b selected. Usually it happened only when there is only a few applicants more than the available vacancies.

But as Markfch said, with citizens now having two ballots they can't do that otherwise it would work against Sinagporeans! They could only do it if all the applicants are citizens.

Nope. Sorry only given two balloting slips to Singapore Citizens.

                        By Moe :

1.Should the number of applications exceed the number of vacancies in any phase, places will be balloted according to the following order of priority. From 2010, Singapore Citizens will be given two ballot slips for each child, while Singapore Permanent Residents will continue to get one ballot slip per child.

                        2. Can I choose to have my children who are registering at the same school be balloted together?

Yes. Each set of siblings is considered as a single registration and accorded ballot slip(s) by citizenship. If the shared ballot slip(s) is/are drawn, places will be given to every child of the set of siblings.

For siblings of different citizenship i.e. Singapore Citizen (SC) and Singapore Permanent Resident (SPR), the set of siblings is considered as a single registration and accorded ONE ballot slip as one of the siblings is SPR (i.e. according to treatment for SPR registrants).

Parents may opt for separate ballot slips for their children. In this case, only the child whose ballot slip(s) is/are drawn will be allocated a place. Parents should inform the school at the time of registration.
