      buds:
I once rang a girls' school and asked abt my chances if i were at 2C.

This is what he said... \"Last year, at Phase 2C there were only 2 seats.
So, whaddya think your chances are?\" šŸ˜ž Is this really possible?
      so far the worst I heard abt is CHS, 2b - 9 seats, 2c - 9 seats!!

      shocking right..

Oversubscribed would mean that few or no seats might be left in some cases? :scared:

        Not enuf to even 50-50?
Oversubscription means there're more applicants than vacancies. So for sure there'll be balloting  . I'm just thinking of all the PVs who completed their 40/80hrs work but being ballot out :stupid:

I recalled that Maris Stella had 1 over the limit last year (was it under 2km?). I believed that school did not do balloting.

Hwr, that meant that theyhad to add one more place for phase 2C

If there is a ballot, and the school has 52 applicants for 50 vacancies, do they choose 2 (to drop) or choose 50? :?

usually, with only 2 over the limit, the school will accept all 52 without ballot. U just need to study the history of all the 'hot' schools over the last 3 yrs to see that this is what usually happens.

That's not true.. they do go bby the books and ballot out 2.. I know for a fact that it happened in Rulang last year.

Really? Does it happen in 2B or both 2B and 2C? Is the school expecting some drop-outs? So it's kind of like overbooking by airlines :?

Not sure if it was MS, but there was a school who took one more because one of the balloted was a twin, so they had to allow both children in. Then 2C reduced by 1 seat.

Could be. All hearsay, of course.

This was what one of my girl's classmate at Berry's told me because they managed to get MS.

                    Hey,

                    Todays Phase 2B results are out. 44 58 šŸ˜ž
Looks good. As long as total number of aplns not 3 times more than vacancies I should be fine. I'm under 1km and in my area not that many residential properties.

They give foreigners 2 slips in this case?

Yes, if they ever do a reverse balloting, I think this will work as foreigners/PRs will have twice the chance to be ballot out. That'll will be equivalent to giving 2 slips to citizen in a normal ballot.

But non citizens are not given 2 ballot slips to begin with, right?
Reverse balloting could work if the citizen is given two chances to be picked out.
