Seeing is already scary, hearing the spirit say something to you is :!:I love this thread as I have always been a fan of spooky campfire stories.
The following is a real story told to me by a friend. This happened more than 10 years ago.
My friend had a lady colleague (we name her as X) who's hubby was quite well off and loved her alot. This colleague had been happily married for many years and her hubby often showered her with gifts.
One day, another of my friend's colleague was going to work and saw X at the ground floor lift lobby at their office bldg from a distance. She called out to X who was entering the lift to wait for her. X turned and looked at her and said \"Life is really hard\". X had looked slightly dishevelled, unlike her usual immaculate self. With that X went into the lift and did not wait for the colleague.
When the colleague took the next lift and reached the office, she was puzzled abt why X did not wait for her. Just then she saw her colleagues gathering around and were discussing about something. She later found out from them that X had jumped to her death that morning, upon realising that her hubby had kept a mistress for many years.

This happened to my friend’s brother B long many years ago.
B was taking the train one day. It was unclear (from my friend) where he was heading to at that time. Anyway, he took the train, as the train moves station after station, he fell asleep. After sometime, he woke up, awaken by the noise of crowds boarding from a station, he looked up. A pretty woman walked in and sat opposite him. She smiled at him and lifted her head off, before placing on the empty seat next to her, still smiling. Terrified, he got up and walked away towards a the train door at the other cabin. B dashed out of the train immediately it opens at the next station. Pale and frightened, he told the first person he met outside the train, "uncle, I just saw a ghost in the train".
"I am one too".
My friend’s brother fainted right on the spot at the train station at Bishan MRT. He was hospitalized for a month for high fever and shock. -

Now that's why...Be careful with where you sleep. This happened when I was in primary 3 and my elder sister was studying for her exams late at night. We shared the same bedroom then. As I was bothered by the white lights in the room, I put a mattress in the living room to sleep. A while into my attempt to fall asleep, I could hear a faint sound of ringing bells, coming somewhere from the back of my head. I have my head back facing the storeroom door which is closed. It sounded as if the sound was coming from the storeroom...and it became louder and louder as the seconds passed. I was trembling and my eyelids were fluttering as I was trying very hard to keep them shut. I was so scared that I did not know what to do. The bell-ringing sound was literally just behind my back when my sister opened the bedroom door right at this very moment to head for the kitchen! The sound abruptly stopped and it was silent again, except for my sister's footsteps! I instantly grabbed my sleeping barang and ran into the bedroom! To date, I am still wondering if my sister had not come out of the bedroom, what could have happened...I still think about it at times.
It was years later when I was told that I had probably slept at a bad location. I had placed my mattress in front of the altar...
Fengshui tip: do not sleep directly facing the door, any door. Its the death position. -

Thank goodness your maid know what to do. Kids should not be frightened at all, especially from close ones...My mom passed away (from illness) when my DD was just 2 months old.
On the day that she passed on, all of us were in the hospital till quite late to settle the caretaker stuff and things like that.
DD was alone at home with my domestic helper. According to her, my DD cried a lot that day and was very restless.
It was only much later that my domestic helper told us more. At about 7pm that night, my DD who was still sleeping in her room started crying. My helper ran into the room from the kitchen, but upon opening the door, she saw my mom standing behind the baby cot. My mom apparently looked at her at that instance. She said a quick prayer and promised my mom that she will look after my DD properly, quickly took my DD and ran out of the room...
Knowing my mom, I know she must have felt she needed to do something, as DD is my first born and I don't have any other family support at home other than the domestic helper... just like her last word to me \"sayang\"... -
This happened many years ago when we were still staying a shophouse along Lavender Street.
One evening, we prepared a grand feast for Tian Gong Dan which is considered a major event for Hokkien.
After setting up everything and we started to pray, my second oldest brother took out his camera and started to take pictures at the offerings.
The next day, he send the film for washing. At night, he send my older sister and I to collect the pictures.
When we came home, the whole family sat down and looked through the pictures. In one of the photos, we saw a female head on the metal fence. We were all shocked because we held our prayers at the extended balcony and the fence can only withstand the weight of a cat walking along it. One misstep could result in falling to death.
Just then my third brother came home and we showed him the pictures.
He quickly take the film and pictures and burnt it right in front of our eyes. His actions confirmed that what was being captured on the camera is definitely not of this realm. This is because he had his "third eye" opened after his near-death experience.
Btw, the place has been sold but is still there and it has a dark history of murder that took place on the first floor back in the 1960’s where it was a cabaret. That is why I cannot take picture of that place and shared it online. -
eh, cookiesmonster, can give address? this like the house of satan.... :faint:

This happened recently to a teenager I know so as to protect his identity I can't give a full account. I am relating this to serve as a warning to all parents and children who play computer games esp those of 'demonic characters'. This teenager showed a change of behaviour and was referred to IMH when he consulted a doctor. IMH recommended that he be admitted but his parents refused. During a church service the teenager started to show signs of being demon possessed. After prayers by church members, he was delivered. Apparently he was possessed by a number of demons, one of which is a character from a popular computer game.
Another incident was related by another teenager whom I don't know personally. She testified that she was delivered after being possessed by a character from a very popular Japanese comic series.
