When ds1 was 7 years old, he told me that if I ever died he'll make sure that I'm buried in his garden. This way, he can visit me daily!

      I don't know to  or 😢

Something like that happened to mark also 😛

Yep, ds wrote me a note to say that he'll miss me a lot when I'm gone. I've exposed him to the concept of death early on, telling him nobody, including his parents lasts forever.

          Dear Angelight,

          Thanks for starting this thread.

          Dear fellow forummers,

I am really enjoying the sharings and am just amazed at the myriad ways in which the kids (try to) reach out to their loved ones to show how much they (the kids) love them.

          :celebrate: :celebrate:

Recently, I am disheartened over my job and am contemplating quitting it to do something else, but the ‘something else’ may not bring in money yet. I asked my 10-yr-old what she thought about it and she said,"I’d rather you do something you like."

Great advice for all of us.

My son cried when I told him he and his sis would have their own families one day and we oldies can't stay with them forever... he was into the \"I don't want to get married\" discussion and was sad to realise that what he has now might change in future. He says he wants to live with me forever. aiyoh...

A conversation between myself and ds.

Me: (Raining hugs and kisses on him) I better kiss and smell you while I can. Once you grow up to become a man, I will not be able to do this anymore.

DS: Why not? Don’t tell me you would not want me to kiss and hug when you grow old?

Me: You sure you will still hug and kiss me when my hair turns all white and my skin all wrinkly?

DS: (He’s speechless at how thoughtless my words can be) and started sobbing. How could you say those things when you know how much I love you mummy.

Indeed, she is a very loving, selfless and sensible girl. My friend's child worried about her tuition fees when her mom lost her job.

Awww....he deserves more kisses and hugs.

Mine will never fail to tell me, \"I Love you!\" every night before she sleeps. Hugs and kisses all the time. Once, she asked me, \"Mommy, do you know why I love you?\" I shrugged my shoulders and she replied, \"For nothing, I just love you, even when I am mad at you, I love you!\"
