      Subjects --------- Grades

      Wife -------------- B
      Mother ----------- C
      DIL --------------- A+

Outcome: Can qualify for NUS, but not for medicine
Care to share how she could improve the B and C to your standard?
Would love to hear a husband's perspective on what could make an A. :rubhands:

A- oso never mind lar. :politebleah:

Let's start with the one that can command the biggest improvement. DW spends less than half the time I spend with ds daily, much less than that actually. So if I am to rate her as a mum, it's hard to give her high score in that aspect. I don't have the statistics, but I guess in most other families it's the mother who spends the most time the her kid(s).

In terms of P1 registration consideration, checking homework & other academic concerns, it's also almost 100% me. Btw, I'm not whining. I'm merely stating the facts. Actually I'm glad I'm in charge in these aspects as I trust my teaching the most (read between the line). šŸ˜‰

In an ironic way, it's good that it pans out this way. Cos if dw really gets involved in ds's activities, then the likelihood of us clashing would increase as our method/focus maybe different. Because I myself am not perfect, so I don't expect perfection (quotable quotes). To me, dw is already an A+ as a DIL. And that is more than what I can ask for.

Would it be in terms of quality versus quantity?

Both bah. When I said spending time together, I don't mean the watching TV together kind of activities. But I don't understand your 2nd sentence.

can u give an example for this pls....

Since our marriage 12 yrs ago, dw always gave equal shares of her bonuses to both her parents & PILs. My parents were super-pleased, not that they need the money, but it exhibited the immensed respect they had from dw.

And amazingly, dw has never once quarrelled with my parents in these 12 yrs. Isn't that unbelievable?

I meant for your DW's spending of time with your DS.
Maybe less but of good quality?

My second sentence is to qualify that I'm just curious, don't beat me

I see. No, dw is always busy typing away at her laptop even when at home. She has this remote connection to office, and will frequently work past midnite. So no surprises that ds considers me as his best friend. šŸ˜„
