My take - best to let go, be at peace with yourself and move on. They can never change and we should stop hoping. You have your MIL so you are really fortunate. For me, I am just doing my duty to keep my conscience clear and set a positive example for my DS.

This is true.. those who don't try to change won't change and don't plan
to change. Crystal clear conscience it is... :snuggles: autumnbronze wif

Thank you for hearing me out.

I take this funny \"relationship with mum\" as a learning for me. I thank GOD for making me such a strong person with the bitter experience I had.
        But you know what counts?
        You're a great momma.
        That's all that matters.
You count, you matter and you're strong šŸ˜„

Hello duriz, you are so right. :hugs:

There are days when my boy told me that \"I am a good mummy\" or \"I am his snow white\" or \"I am a princess\" or \"I am a good teacher\" or \"I am a good doctor\"........ it really melts my heart. :please: That strives me to be a better mummy for him.

              Count Your Blessings!

A well-known speaker started off his seminar by
              holding up a $50 bill.

In the room of 200, he asked, \"Who would like this $50 bill?\"
              Hands started going up.
He said, \"I am going to give this $50 to one of you,
but first, let me do this.\"

He proceeded to crumple the dollar bill up.
He then asked,\"Who still wants it?\"
Still the hands were up in the air.

              \"Well,\" he continued, \"what if I do this?\"
And he dropped it on the ground and
started to grind it into the floor with his shoe.

He picked it up, now crumpled and dirty.
\"Now who still wants this $50?\"
Still the hands went into the air.

\"My friends, you have all learned a very valuable lesson.
No matter what I did to the money,
you still wanted it because it did not decrease in value.
              It was still worth $50.

\"Many times in our lives, we are dropped, crumpled,
and ground into the dirt by the decisions we make and
the circumstances that come our way.
We feel as though we are worthless.
But no matter what has happened or what will happen,
you will neverlose your value: dirty or clean,
              crumpled or finely creased,
you are still priceless to those who love you.\"

The worth of our lives comes not in
what we do or who we know,
              but by WHO WE ARE.

You are special - Don't ever forget it.
Count Your Blessings, not your problems.

                Mrs Ang,

I couldn't agree more with you. When hubby does housework, I have to close 2 eyes or else I will end up having to do it. šŸ˜‰ He will pass comments like, 'you not happy, then do it yourself'. So the best thing is NOT seeing anything. See no evil. Hear no evil. HaHaHa.
Haha...mine will said, \"I cannot meet your standard so better you do yourself\" šŸ˜›

                    buds:

I can fully understand your situation with such a filial son to his mother.. :snuggles:

I fully understand... mine can flare up the slightest bit when it comes to his parents
                    especially with mother...
One of my male friend told me once that never marry a filial son.....I guess this explain the reason
