Apple unveils iPhone 4

MMM:
MMM, I think your benchmark is for non-touch screen phones. From my understanding, most touch screen phones are not possible to achieve your benchmark.
I am using iphone 4. Maybe my benchmark is against my mobile phone that can last for several days without charging.Mrs Ang:
You are using which generation of iPhone? The battery life of iPhone4 is much better than previous generation.
Other things you can set to reduce the battery usage
Brightness in settings, do not use Auto-Brightness and set at a comfortable brightness. Mind is slightly lower than half bar.
Autolock - I set to 1 min. If you set to never, the screen is always on and it would definately consume battery. -

thanks for these tips! You can check if these settings are always ON because they can consume up battery if set to ON. I would only set ON when I want to use these features.
Notifications
WIFI
Location services
And if you are using OS4, please remember to clear those applications you have used. If not they would be running \"behind\". A quick double click of the round home button, click and hold on one of the applications, you would see the cross X. Delete them one by one.
my iPhone4 needs to charge twice a day!
just went to off the location, notifications, wifi, bluetooth and adjusted the brightness.

Another tips for good battery practice. Do this once a month - Try to use your iphone till it off by itself (totally flat), then go for a full charge.
Actually I read in some place, the best to charge is when it reach 40%, this is to maintain good battery life. During weekends when I donโt go out, I would do that. -

Gecko... given that I can probably use the other 3/4 of the iPhone 4 which you cannot use, if you let have your iPhone 4 I can grudgingly let you have my well loved Nokia. It's not a fair trade, but what are friend's for?

Wow...Chief u r fast! -

No matter how large the battery is, if you are online all the time (ie. you have push notifications turned on for all your apps and your email), you'd be lucky to last more than half a day. Then again, what's battery life for if you don't use that phone to do all these good stuff?jtoh:
Is the battery life for the iPhone 4 an improvement over the 3GS?
yes, double the usage, or double the battery life
