I don't know about the chicken pox jab side effects.
My DD just turned 1 year old this month

Both my kids got their chickenpox injections…yours truly also.

Son was 5 years old and daughter 18 months then. Son got it last year…started with few red dots on his neck, brought him to see doctor and was given anti-viral medication…then daughter got it and spread to me. We didn’t suffer any itch.
Finally hubby got and it was a terrible outbreak for him…his whole face and body jelak jelak. It was very scary to see him.

Hi,Mummies, Just to share,recently,I brought my girl (3 years plus) for her pneummocal vaccaination..been putting off for years as I wonder if it is really necessary,yet whenever she fell sick,there is this niggling doubt that it could be more serious than the common cold/flu... :roll: Sigh,in the end,finally decided to get a peace of mind and scheduled for her jab at the local polyclinic... As per normal,the nurse gave me a list which listed all the side effects,which included swelling of the injection area and loss of appetite....Few hours after the injection,my ger complained of sharp pain around the injection site,which was by then an angry red bump and the surrounding area was sensitive to touch...I had to apply cold compress for two days before the swelling went down.. :shock:

Needless to say,her appetite was also greatly affected...
anyway,just to let mummies be more aware of the side effects ...
Wonder if any mum experience this too?

Nope, I don't coz I brought my DD1 to take the jab when she was 18mths. My DS2 has finished 2 jabs and waiting for him to turn 18mths to take the last jab. I think it is best for them to take when they are still small. Will not have too many side-effects?

I was told there might be mild case of rashes after the chickenpox jab but fortunately both of them didn't have this prob.
