No, i did not breastfeed my baby. I lost 15kg right after C-sect delivery. Think mostly is water retention. Lost 4kg after going thru slimming centre treatment. Now i am still left with 5kg to my pre-pregnancy weight... cant seem to shed them at all. 😛

Anna, i heard about the NTUC 3 day meal plan before. But i dun think i will follow, I get hungry easily, so eating one slice of toast is impossible to fill up my tummy. What's worst, i got long long history of bad gastric, so cannot skip meals!

      😢 😢

Looks like exercising and choosing what i eat is the only way I can slim down.
For me, I cannot eat less, since I am breastfeeding. Must eat enough for me and my baby, or else will be so hungry and no energy.

I have also tried those body contouring cream. I did find one quite good. my thigh is now firmer, and all those stretch mark on the tummy had fade off a lot. Most impt, the 'orange peel' effect on my thigh can't be seen anymore. 🙂 Still applying on my tummy and thigh twice a day, but I think such cream is more for firmer. It can't help to slim down the tummy quickly.

Wow, so $1k per kilo... 😉

I was tempted to sign up with London Weight Management after seeing their success cases. I have a lot of weight to lose but worried that there'll be no effect after all the money spent.

Now trying my best to eat less (but very hungry), and walk with baby more.

I heard from a friend who used Marie France that you need to spend at least $10k there to lose all the weight.
I did a trial at London Weight Management - felt very uncomfortable with the whole process - wraps/ heat etc. Also, they are very very persistent in trying to sell their package, you might end up paying a lot and regret later.

Walking is good exercise. But it has to be brisk. Not shopping pace!

As for hunger…I’ve not really had to diet drastically because of breastfeeding, but i understand if you restrict your food intake too much, your body goes into starvation mode, i.e. your metabolism slows down to conserve as much energy as possible. So it’s harder to lose weight, and when you get off the diet, you gain the weight back more quickly. Better to decrease calorie intake reasonably, especially the sweets and fatty stuff. Take food rich in fibre instead. I think it’s better to DIY through healthier eating. Gotta be patient though, as you may not see results so quickly.

Slimming centres are expensive and won’t guarantee your weight stays off. I’m sceptical and wonder if the drastic weight loss is due to loss of fluids? May be a good way to kick-start the process for some people, but i still think it’s not worth the money…i’d rather take the money to buy a gym membership, sign up for an exercise class or buy a pair or running shoes.

              Anna Ng:
I lost about 15 kgs (not included the newborn, water bag etc) after delivered of my 3rd kid within 3 months.

I go to exercise at least 25-30 minutes a weeks and not really control my diet as so many dinners in year ends, hard to control in front of the good foods also

However, i try to avoid oily stuffs and cut down the portion if eating at home. Eat brown rices instead of white rices. I think the main reason is i am fully breastfeeding my son, it's really help.

I think the slimming centre will provide some good results, but by spending about $10K to lost 10kgs, it's not worth for me lor and also i don have that money to spend, 1kg = $1000 :!: anyway, no harm to try if you have money and budget lor, but don expect too much, the slimming centre will not blame themself if they cannot give you what you want, they will just ask u to \"top up\", buy another packages and at the end they will say u never control diet.

BTW, do your heard the 3 days NTUC diet plan (lost 2 kgs in 3 days) ? i believe this plan as they not intend to make money like all the slimming centres. Here is the plan:

              DAY One
              Breakfast:
              Black tea/coffee
              1 grapefruit
              1 slice toast
              2 tsps peanut butter
              Lunch:
              Black tea/coffee
              4 oz (100g) tuna
              1 slice toast
              Dinner:
              1 slice chicken ham
              1 cup (50g) long beans
              4 oz (100g) beetroot
              4 oz (100g) Ice-cream
              1 small apple

              Day Two
              Breakfast:
              Black tea/coffee
              1 egg boiled/poached
              1 slice toast
              Half a banana
              Lunch:
              Black tea/coffee
              4 oz (100g) cottage cheese

              Half a banana
              4 oz (100g) ice-cream

              Day Three
              Breakfast:
              Black tea/coffee
              1 egg hard boiled
              1 slice toast
              Lunch:
              Black tea/coffee
              1 slice chedder cheese
              5 Tun/Ritz biscuits
              1 small apple
              Dinner:
              4 oz (100g) tuna
              4 oz (100g) beetroot

              1/4 honeydrew

It is a better idea to lose your weight with slimming centres. According to me you can get better information about how to reduce your weight from it. Exercise is the best way to lose your weight. But it is necessary that you will do exercise properly. It maintain your body fit and healthy.

                  LKVM:

I did the trial too at London Weight Management however I feel most u r losing is the fluids so I find it useless.... also they were quite hard selling I had to be really rigid not to accept anything.. they can come down from 10K to 8K to 5K to 2K then in the end to 399 :!:

I also dunno how to reduce... I am still breastfeeding my DS2 though he is now 2 yrs+ but still nothing reduced...
                  any other suggestions 😛
Hi LKVM, I am also still breastfeeding dd2. I have lost quite a bit but not as much as after giving birth to dd1. Not sure if it is due to ligation. I am just about to start Organic Lacto Fiber. If I can get quite good result, will let you know about it. My friend tried it first, she finds it quite good, that is why I am going to try this round when they are having a offer this round.

                    LKVM:

Yes u r right I too reduced with DS1 quite faster almost pre preg weight oredi but with DS2 cannot 😢

Will wait for ur results :xedfingers:
For dd1, I am even slimmer than pre-preg weight. I am at my most slim stage when bf dd1. For ds1, also quite fast, but not as good as dd1 as I only bf ds1 until he is 7mths only. For dd1, bf her until 23mths. When bf dd1 until 12mths, already back to pre preg weight. For dd2 now, she is already 25mths but still not back to pre preg weight. 😢

Will keep you posted. Hope that it is good result as I really hope to get rid of the extra pounds.

I am so surprised that even the sensible of the sensible get fascinated by the "magic" slimming ads. You just need to flip through the "Today" to see numerous ads for slimming/trimming/enhancing/glowing all in a few minutes/hours or days! At a price ofcourse! Its mostly targeted at the working woman with dispensable cash. And I am not surprised that Truespa got away with $33m on un-served packages?!

I guess it’s our impatience to see quick results that’s causing these game survivors. If only we stick to the proven routine of exercise and diet control. Comments?
