Oh, where did u read about the negative feedbacks? There were long waiting list when I checked last week. I think those negative feedbacks were because of the initial logistic planning. What if u can't find suitable ones within the vicinity that u want? Doesn't seem to have good ones around leh.

Got that feedback via KSP (where else? :)) Anyway, I visited the centre with my wife. Like the place. Appearance wise, looks much better. Like what u said, we are number 16 on the waiting list. We decided not to go ahead since we must pay the deposit. As there is no bus services, we are not considering.

We went to the PCF @ Blk 267. Friendly teacher greeted us. But the place is undergoing major renovation so we could not see much. Most likely we will put our DS there. We are also on the waiting list.

We had also register with My First Skool just in case. We received an email informing us that the new centre will only be ready in 1st quarter of 2011 but they have no idea when. Suit us fine since we will only start around April-June 2011.

Are u staying around Bishan St 22 as well?

are they sufficient to prepare the child for primary school?

do the teachers leave the children by themselves, not teaching them much during lesson times?

actually this depend on the teachers. the best known childcare can have not so committed teachers and ur child may end up unattended as well. i suggest u observe or gather feedback from parents here. of course going down to the centre to have a \"feel\" is always the best.

McNair MFS should be very new. Just a few months back, only saw some banner saying that the branch is opening soon.

I sent both my gal and boy to MFS at Toa Payoh.

The infant care fees is almost $1,300 per month before subsidy. But I am not sure if it is the same for all centres. You can contact the centre principal for the fees.

My gal has been there since 2006 so far so good. The teachers there are very caring and responsible. I am satisfied with the centre. I cannot feed back much on their programme as different school will have their own programme. Main concern is my gal can absorb what she has learnt in the school.

Can anyone share how well your child perform in MFS regardless of any locations? i read thru threads here, majority says happy and enjoyed school but are they learning?

Maybe we judge, when test kid who’s in Nursery, he able to do +
Recongise words like car, ball, the, draw, colour etc
Able to count 1 to 100. Able to Rhymes nursery rhymes.
Able to reconise approx 20 of the basic chines 笔画 (eg 横（一）、竖（丨）、撇（丿）、点（丶）、捺(㇏)、折（乛）

I have read some thread thatMFS curriculums are not so good eg. Nursery they only learn 1 to 20. K1 then start maths, K2 no spelling etc.

Can some one tell me what your kid learnt or how good he she performed with the condition that both parents are working, hardly any time to give coaching.
