I didnt go for the briefing 'cos they dragged my locker key collection time all the way until the time the briefing finished.

You can still go and say you are keen.

I am wondering what is wrong with this locker key thing. RV is really doing herself a disfavour. Why want to take the trouble to manage another set of lockers themselves just because they feel a waste to throw away the existing set of lockers. Just let the outsourced company managed whatever that the MOE approved and save all the trouble. There are always the best people with specialty to manage specific services with great efficiency. If you are not in that business, why bother to take over other people roles who are better at it?

Not all can afford or willing to pay $40 plus for the third party locker. School charges only $10 Plus $5 deposit, getting the students to manage FOC.
So we can look at it at a different angle. If one wants cheaper thing, it comes with a compromise in the quality. Maybe if people can look at it this way, they will be more understanding. The outsource company run the lockers at a profit and they can afford to use special locks with code and all the manpower to maintain the locker. While the school's own lockers are run on a voluntary basis by students. Inherently, the old lockers already have some inefficiencies, you see, old batch of students need to return the keys. If some don't return, then someone have to chase them for it. If someone lost the key, then someone need to duplicate the keys again. All these are rather tedious job with NO profit.

dd's primary school's locker system is the best. The students bring their own padlock and key, their locker number is according to their index number, no need to queue for the key or pay a cent. If they lose their key, the teacher gets a hammer to knock off the padlock. πŸ˜„

You can have other kind of problem. Some naughty kids will get a padlock and lock up someone else lockers.

Yes, it's true. Some students also broke the locks of other students to steal or for fun. Guess there's no perfect system. πŸ˜„

The highest score for the 1st Chinese compo was 51/70. Almost half the class failed and got to rewrite. Wonder if other class trs are also so strict.

Go ask the teacher what should a compo of the same title that score 69/70 looks like.

公函 and 私函 are quite straight forward. Must remember the format well and can score format marks.
