Just not long ago, someone told me, RV is a good sec sch but might not be a good JC bec their JC level teachers are still not to the mark. I do hope this sentence is not true.

I am wary with this kind of unsubstantiated remarks. How do they know the teachers are \"still not up to mark\"? Do they assume that all the teachers send to a new school will necessarily be new teachers? Don't they know that MOE can transfer teachers from one schools to another? Moreover, RV starts its IP right from sec 1, from what I read, all the JC teachers have arrived at the schools to start their preparation way before ( i read one year) the students are promoting to J1. the preparation work organised by the former principal Ms Ek and the staffs were excellent. -

WeiHan, do you know which overseas University model did RV use as a guideline for their A level teaching ? Read it somewhere but couldn't find that article now. -

I like the fact that the schools need to interview their own teachers. Then they cannot blame MOE for sending bad teachers to their schools.
I am not sure there is a difference for A level. But RV's IP ASK is modeled after Harvard. I don't know what that means but I read all teachers have to learn and familiarised themselves with that mode of enquiring and applying knowledge. -
