After reading it, I still standby (1). I think it is more appropriate because there is someone wanting to know(ply) more information. Secretive workable, but 'tight-lipped' has more 'feel' in it. :lol:

Actually both choices will make perfectly good answers. To me, tight-lipped means 'nothing to comment' but it is also synonymous to being secretive. The qn itself is clear, but the choices provided makes the whole qn ambiguous.

Actually I don't agree ;), tight-lipped is the parents' response (verb?) to the child.. and it means 'not willing to comment'... secretive is a bit more of an adjective, to describe a behaviour so it is not appropriate in this instance.. my 2 cents worth lah

My elder dd had never received a feedback form fr her teacher and she is in P5 dis year. So I guess it depends on the Teachers' style.
But whenever I drop an email to the T, usually I'll need to drop an email at least once a year, I'll ask the T for feedback on her behaviour in class. So far, my elder dd's Ts hv bn responsive and on the ball. Not so for my younger dd.

My P4 boy did not get any mark for the last 自由发挥题目.

The passage is abt a girl's kite got stucked in the tree. Another boy (a stranger) came by n helped to take the kite down. In the process of rescuing the kite, this boy's shirt was torn and he also got a cut on his hand. The girl received the kite and while saying her thanks, took some money out for the boy. The boy did not take the money and just walked away. The girl blushed.

The qn was \"if you are the girl, how would you thank the boy? Why?\"
My boy ans: 'just says thanks. It's no big deal getting the kite down from the tree.\"

Is there sth wrong with his ans? Other than being unappreciative, I can understand in his perspective getting a shirt torn and a hand cut are really no big deal, esp to a boy.

I also find CN OE model answers from Ts quite confusing :? . But I don't usually send quiries to CN T when I am in doubt as my CN quite half baked. But I think E3 and Lizhi are very good in looking in depth and raising their concerns as from there, we can all learn too!
