Yes it certainly is impt to be tactful if one is giving less-than-positive feedback. But more imptly, I'll look at the merits of those feedback in itself and see how I can proceed from there.
I desperately need to talk to his teachers...of course the first line they will all tell me is his love for talking :x On the other hand, I can roughly guess what they will tell me...some Pei Hwa teachers are not very tactful when parents ask how kids can improve.
I remembered when ds took the TLL english test last jul the feedback from the ctr was not positive and so he was not selected. I evaulated their input (which is 100% valid) and work with ds on it. And today he has improved which is the main thing really. -

I always attend with hubby...well, women can be sensitive and take it negative sometimes but when I asked hubby if he felt the points/tone mentioned are helpful or not, he told me that certain teacher gave useful ones while the other 2 were not...so it's not that I'm overly sensitive.

Hi periwinkle, at least your DD's T is responsive and entertains your queries... that's good enough...Hi Happy Mama,
My elder dd had never received a feedback form fr her teacher and she is in P5 dis year. So I guess it depends on the Teachers' style.
But whenever I drop an email to the T, usually I'll need to drop an email at least once a year, I'll ask the T for feedback on her behaviour in class. So far, my elder dd's Ts hv bn responsive and on the ball. Not so for my younger dd.
Did you check if the entire P5s did not receive it? -

Oops!  No la, the topics just happen to interest me, so I participated a little here and there lor...:offtopic:

As for younger dd, not so fortunate, but I think mayb T is busy or overwhelmed. But if I write on her diary, I sure do get a reply as my Jdd wld bring it to T and T has to respond
Im more concerned for my Jdd as she based on her feedback form with the gradings, she was graded 3 for \"Pays attention in class\" for all the 3 subjects... haiz... :stupid:
My Sdd no such probs. No discipline issue, and so far no complaints fr Ts all these years
I dunno but I wil check if other P5 parents receive the feedback forms -
Happy Mama:
But u really super lei... only a few months and reached such status.

How do u find time? Amzing, i must learn fr u. I hardly can keep up with PHPPS forums, let alone other topics. No wonder my hubby says I'm slack :clubmyself: better wake up :nunchuk: and do more work.
both my dds results slipped, my hub was not happy last nite when he saw the papers :torchme: -

Haha! You mean \"wake-up to do more work\" as in talk more in KSP like me? :rotflmao: Just kidding lah...No wonder my hubby says I'm slack :clubmyself: better wake up :nunchuk: and do more work.

It's not a good thing that I'm online so often. This means I'm too L-F about DD's work, which is why I have the time to yak, yak, yak. Hmm, maybe it's time to slow down a little.

That's partly the reason why I was having second thoughts. My dh couldn't take leave to go with us. He was there to help control my tongue.
I have a different issue. Based on the remarks on the slips given, I felt the teachers might not be in line with me with regard to my expectations for my dd. I have a tendency to nitpick my dd's results in front of the teachers so didn't want to upset myself and the teachers. It's my bad habit. However, dh thinks we should go as a way of showing support that we are working together with the teachers.
