        CJM:
        Joel & Ramah have the same amount of money. After Ramah gave $52 to Joel, Joel had twice as much as Ramah. How much money did each of them have at first.

        In the end:

        Joel = 2x
        Ramah = x

        Before the transfer:

        Joel = 2x - $52
        Ramah = x + $52

        2x - $52 = x + $52

        2x = x + $104
        therefore: x = $104

        So, in the beginning: they each had: $104 + $52 = $156

        Hope that helped šŸ™‚ šŸ™‚

          Q1) Delson and Sally had the same amount of flour. After Delson used thrice as much of flour as Sally, he had 1460g of flour less than Sally.

          a) How much flour did Sally use?
          b) How much flour did Delson have at first if he had 900g of flour left?

          Could you pls provide model drawing? Thanks!

              Hi Tianzhu,
              Your solution is so beautifully done. Not just mathematically but also artistically. May I know how did you so that?!

                Need help on the following :

                Q1) There are 4 more cookies in Jar A than in Jar B. If 3 cookies are moved from Jar B to Jar A, Jar A will have 3 times as many cookies as Jar B. How many cookies are there in Jar A at first ?

                Q2) Ali has 3 times as many stickers as James. If Ali gives 165 stickers to James, he will have 1/2 as many stickers as James. How many stickers do they have altogether ?
