Newton Kindergarten

Is this still Newton Kindergarten thread? :?

I am considering Newton Kindy for my son next yr K1. I am happy with his current kindy, however we are moving late this year, hence thinking of changing his kindy too.
Anyone has feedback on the teachers? Does K1/2 has homework etc etc?
How is the K1/2 curriculum? Thanks! -

Hi
if there is any ex Newton parents whose child never go for any enrichment at all, but just rely solely on our school curriculum alone, and are willing to come forward to share, that would be best!
I am keen to find out too! My elder 2 gals attended my son's current kindy too. This kindy has taught my gals well. My #1 is in pri 2 and she is doing very well in Primary school, no enrichment classes (except phonics 4-5yo). My #2 is going P1 next year, she is doing pretty well in Kindy too, no enrichment (except phonics 4-5yo). If kids are weak in reading, kindy will give FOC reading class (outside class hr) every week to help with kids' reading skill.
Hence I am in dilemma if to w/d my son n try for Newton. -
Hi phtthp
Would appreciate if you could share on the difference between BRMCK and Newton? Child in N1 in another childcare centre - too international and looking for a place where she learns christian values and excellent language skills.
Which you think would be stronger in building a child?
Thank you so much. -
Hi, anyone able to pm me on the school bus charges, thanks in advance
-
call Auntie Ong tomorrow. Her official hp is 9455-3509.
depends on where you stay, she'll quote you accordingly.
if yr child needs additional transport on certain days for enrichment classes, she can also help you arrange.
example:
======
i stay in Paya Lebar (very far from Newton), school bus charges $160 per month, 2 ways to and fro.
my daughter attends 2 enrichment lessons (Art drawing on Tues & Helen O Grady Speech and drama on Wed)every week. She charge me additional $60 per Term, not per month. Very reasonable. -
Hihi! Anybody registered today? Have successfully registerd our DD for PG next year AM session. Only 23 vacancies for the AM session.
Btw i forgot do they eat lunch in school before they go home for AM session?
-
Hi Jazzychloe,
Itβs great that you have secured a place for AM session.
For AM sessions, the kids usually have breakfast (cornflakes, bao) at 8am and tea break (fruits) at maybe 10am. Lunch is served to PM sessions. -
Hi jazzy
Am session kids do not take lunch, they only take Bfast and snack. I registered today for k1. -
Thanks junietan and porcupine for ur reply! Guess i must hv remembered wrongly, cos i thought after they changed to 4hrs session will include lunch for the AM session. Nevertheless, this is not very important as compared to the establishment and good reviews of the school.
