Hi Porcupine, we actually stay pretty far from Newton (we stay at Punggol). Any parents from Punggol too btw?

Anyway I do believe that Newton will provide a loving and nuturing learning environment. Have paid a visit to them before deciding and their teachers gave me a warm and friendly impression. May i know what’s ur current kindy btw? Ur kids are there for 5-6yrs already?

DS1 attended a different kindy. We chose Newton for DS2 coz it is nearer my new place and it is a church-based kindy. I like DS1’s kindy and I’m also very happy with Newton. The teachers are very experienced and you can tell they love the kids. Don’t worry, they will also give you that loving feeling!

            hi jazzy/mummy3streams

my kids attend/ed fairfield methodist kindy. 5-6 yrs coz my #1 attended since she was 3yr till K2, and my #2 grad'g k2 tis yr, same kindy. My #3 started his pre N last yr.

I so 舍不得 the school, the nice teachers there :(,the very family and humble environment. ooh btw the fees at fairfield is 1/2 the newton fees (even with speech and drama in their curriculum).

                    hi jazzychloe,

for AM kids (N2 - K2) who attend enrichment lessons from 12.15 pm - 1.15 pm (1 hr) after their 4 hrs AM session end by 12 noon (from 8 am - 12 pm), you may approach Auntie Lillian (chef) to send lunch to yr child's classroom, before they start enrichment lessons, at 12.15 pm sharp. Inform Auntie Lillian which are yr child's enrichment days, and label yr child's lunch box, indicating his name, classroom name.

but for N1 kids, no enrichment lessons. wait until N2 then start.

                      hi porcupine12trade,

Fairfield church kindy is 3 hrs everyday, unlike Newton kindy 4 hrs daily. Hence, Fairfield kindy school fees are lower than Newton.

if compare apple to apple, maybe compare Fairfield kindy with other 3 hrs daily kindergarten.

eg: Chatsworth kindy also 3 hrs daily - but expensive, costs around $700 per month, not per Term. Chatsworth is a kindergarten, not a child care:-

                      http://www.chatsworthkindergarten.com/
Chatsworth (3 hrs) is 2 times more expensive than Newton (4 hrs) daily.

Brmck (Barker road church kindy) also 3 hrs daily - costs around $420 per month, or $1260 per Term (based on 2012 newly raised school fees) :-

                      http://www.brmck.edu.sg/rules.html

Brmck (3 hrs) is more expensive than Newton (4 hrs) daily.
